Jens Christenson's Round 4 PGA DFS showdown slate picks for the 2025 Travelers Championship. His top in-tournament DFS lineup picks and top plays for DraftKings and FanDuel.
The 125th U.S. Open at Oakmont Country Club is proving to be as big a brute as advertised, as four players are managing to enter the final round under par. Scoring has been as difficult as any in recent memory, though with the rain that ended play early on Friday and was on-and-off Saturday, the course has lost a bit of its bite. But don't be fooled, this is still the hardest test in golf.
Today, TPC River Highlands presented the easiest conditions of the first three rounds. As I mentioned yesterday, the mild weather created ideal scoring opportunities. Tommy Fleetwood shone with a 7-under 63, taking a commanding three-shot lead as we head into Sunday. Russell Henley delivered by firing a 9-under 61, which places him in second, tied with Keegan Bradley—both three strokes behind Fleetwood. Jason Day is close behind in fourth, sitting at 11-under, five strokes off the lead. Meanwhile, Brian Harman finished at 5-under today, putting him at 8-under and leaving him eight strokes back from the leader.
Showdown, unlike typical golf DFS that spans the entire tournament, is a contest that focuses on each round as an individual event. Finding guys performing well on approach is king, but roster decisions that give you ownership leverage from taking riskier players on the board that haven't played their best but present a high likelihood of a bounce-back round are also important. In other words, this is a sprint, not a marathon.

Weather, Course Conditions, and Tee Times
The forecast tomorrow indicates that it will be slightly windier than today, though not nearly as windy as it was during Round 2 on Thursday. The course played 2.00 strokes under par today, and we can expect scores similar to what we saw today and in the first round.
Round 4 Strategy
The mindset for final-round showdowns is not to pull any punches. A great starting point is to take guys who have a knack for hammering down the gas pedal on Sunday and have at least shown flashes of form over the first three rounds.
Remember that ownership levels will continuously drop the closer you get to the morning's first tee time, so finding the guys who will bounce back is paramount to winning big.

Favorite Play: Collin Morikawa dropped six birdies today and hit 78.57% of fairways. If his putting had been better, he could have made a few more birdies. He gained 0.244 strokes on the putting green but lost 1.721 strokes on approach during Round 3. Overall, Morikawa has been solid off the tee all week. If he finds his rhythm on the greens tomorrow, we could see him move up the leaderboard. He is likely to be lower owned in this salary range, but he has the potential to go low tomorrow.

Favorite Play: Keegan Bradley had one of his best rounds of the year today, shooting a bogey-free 7-under 63. Over the first three rounds, he has gained 2.705 strokes on approach, 4.401 strokes putting, and 3.463 strokes around the green. This all-around performance is exactly what we've come to expect from him this year. I’m confident putting someone in my lineups who has played well from tee to green throughout the first three rounds.

Favorite Play: Daniel Berger came to play in Round 3 today. He was excellent off the tee and with his approach shots, gaining 2.671 strokes off the tee and 2.022 strokes on approach. Although he hasn't performed like the Berger we've come to expect during the first two rounds, he has the potential to move up the leaderboard and could be lower owned. I'm willing to take a chance on someone who has hit 79.63% of greens in regulation through the first three rounds and shown he can position himself well off the tee and execute effectively on approach.

Favorite Play: Maverick McNealy has played consistently throughout the week and finally made some birdies today. In Round 3, he gained 1.109 strokes off the tee and 0.223 strokes on approach, but I’m more interested in his overall performance for the week. He's sunk 11 birdies and gained a total of 1.673 strokes off the tee and 1.846 strokes around the green. What we saw from McNealy today is what I expect to see from him tomorrow, and if that holds, we'll want to include him in our lineups.

Favorite Play: Matt Fitzpatrick has battled hard all week and finally put together all facets of his game in Round 3. He gained 1.173 strokes off the tee, 2.116 strokes on approach, and 0.851 strokes putting. After three rounds, he has gained 1.629 strokes off the tee and 1.568 strokes around the green, but has lost 2.236 strokes putting. If Fitzy can find some consistency on the greens tomorrow, he may be lower owned and give himself the opportunities to move up the leaderboard.
