Luke Raley Returning From IL
MLB.com's Daniel Kramer reports that the Seattle Mariners are activating outfielder Luke Raley (oblique) from the injured list ahead of their road series opener with the Chicago Cubs. First baseman Rowdy Tellez was designated for assignment in a corresponding move. Raley has been on the mend since late April with an oblique strain, but he's ready to return from his lengthy absence after going 7-for-19 with a double and a home run in five minor-league rehab games. The Lake Erie College product struggled to a .206/.345/.324 triple slash in 24 games before his injury. However, it's worth mentioning that he's vastly underperformed his xBA (.260) and xSLG (.432).
