Collin Morikawa Eyeing Another Strong Performance at Travelers
Collin Morikawa recorded his ninth top-25 finish of the season with a solid T23 at the U.S. Open. He looks to carry that momentum into the Travelers Championship, where he has competed four times, making the cut twice, including a T13 finish last year. To succeed again at TPC River Highlands, he will need to be sharp off the tee, on approach, and on the greens. Morikawa ranks fourth in strokes gained on approach (plus-0.860 per round), second from tee to green (plus-1.442), and third in driving accuracy, but has struggled with his flatstick, ranking just 110th (minus-0.048). He also ranks in the 98th percentile in proximity from 100–150 yards, a key range that made up 35.5% of approaches here last year. As long as his ball-striking is on, Morikawa is a very solid choice for fantasy managers and bettors.
