Kyle Harrison Traded to Red Sox
Kyle Harrison was traded to the Boston Red Sox in a massive trade on Sunday. Harrison was scheduled to take the mound for the Giants on Sunday night. Instead, Harrison will be headed to Boston along with Jordan Hicks, James Tibbs, and Jose Bello. In exchange, the Giants will receive slugger Rafael Devers from Boston. Harrison was rumored to be the odd man out once Justin Verlander (pectoral) returned to the rotation. Now, he'll get a chance to stick in a big league rotation with the Red Sox. Harrison has posted a 4.56 ERA, 1.27 WHIP, with 25 strikeouts in 23.2 innings with the Giants this season. The southpaw has worked as both a starter and reliever, so he should be an immediate help in Boston.
