Brandon Woodruff Could Throw This Week
Brandon Woodruff (elbow) was hit on the right elbow by a 108.2 mph comebacker with Triple-A Nashville on June 3 in what was supposed to be his final minor-league rehab start. However, Woodruff is only dealing with bruising. With the swelling going down, the Brewers are hopeful that the 32-year-old veteran could resume throwing early this week. He could then move to a bullpen session around June 17 and throw live batting practice shortly after. Woodruff hasn't pitched in the big leagues since September of 2023 after having right-shoulder surgery that knocked him out all of last year. He's posted a 2.11 ERA with 34 strikeouts over 38 1/3 innings in his nine rehab starts and is poised to help fantasy managers in all formats once he eventually makes his 2025 debut, which could come in late June.
