Mookie Betts Breaks 13-Game Home Run Drought
Mookie Betts homered for the first time in 13 games in a 7-3 win over the St. Louis Cardinals on Sunday. Betts, who hadn't gone deep since May 19, smacked a 359-foot solo blast for his ninth HR and 33rd RBI of the year. It was the lone hit for Betts in a 1-for-5 afternoon. The 32-year-old superstar missed four games last week with a fractured toe, but he has returned to go a productive 11-of-27 in six contests. He'll take a .274/.352/.430 line over 261 plate appearances into a matchup against San Diego Padres right-hander Nick Pivetta on Monday. Betts has gone 1-for-5 with two walks against Pivetta.
