Jake Burger Homers in Three-Hit Game
Jake Burger went 3-for-4 with a solo home run and a double in Sunday's 4-2 win against the Nationals. This was his second home run of the week, and his sixth since returning to the major leagues on May 12. In those 26 games, he's batting .260 with a 20.2% strikeout rate. That's far from the .186 average and 30.5% strikeout rate he posted before the demotion to Triple-A, so it looks like he is turning his season around. The slugger was a top-125 pick during draft season and shouldn't be sitting on the waiver wire any longer.
