Chase Briscoe Continues to Find Speed in Qualifying, Wins Pole for Michigan
For the third race in a row, Chase Briscoe will lead the NASCAR Cup Series field to the green flag, as the Joe Gibbs Racing driver put up the fastest lap in qualifying for this weekend's FireKeepers Casino 400 at Michigan International Speedway. This No. 19 Toyota has been one of the best at Michigan in the Next Gen era, but that was with Martin Truex Jr behind the wheel. With that being said, it's relatively evident that Briscoe is beginning to find some of that speed as well. Now the question is, will he be able to stay up at the front once the green flag waves on Sunday? Briscoe led 51 laps at Nashville last weekend before fading back to a 17th-place finish, and he led just one lap at Charlotte two weeks ago before ultimately finishing third. At $8,500 on DraftKings this weekend, Briscoe is a tournament lineup option for DFS players but has more downside possibility than upside. Still, you should probably have some exposure to the pole sitter.
