Jazz Chisholm Jr. Stars in Win Over Red Sox
Jazz Chisholm Jr. delivered a brilliant performance in a 9-6 win over the Boston Red Sox on Friday. Chisholm's biggest contribution came with two outs in the first inning, when he crushed a three-run, 417-foot homer off Red Sox right-hander Walker Buehler. That blast gave the Yankees a 3-0 lead that they would never relinquish. Chisholm later added two more singles and a pair of stolen bases in a 3-for-5, four-RBI night. The 27-year-old missed all of May with an oblique injury, but he has made up for lost time since returning June 3. In four games since then, Chisholm has gone 8-for-16 with two HRs, six RBI, and three steals. He's now batting .223/.326/.471 with nine HRs, 23 RBI, and nine SBs over 141 trips to the plate. The left-handed hitter will face a challenging test Saturday with ace Red Sox southpaw Garrett Crochet on the hill.
