Ramon Laureano Activated and Starting on Friday
Ramon Laureano (ankle) from the 10-day injured list and designated outfielder Jordyn Adams for assignment in a corresponding move. The club also acquired right-hander Scott Blewett from the Atlanta Braves in exchange for cash considerations. Laureano is serving as the designated hitter and is batting third in Friday's series opener against the Athletics and left-hander JP Sears. The 30-year-old Dominican has been decent as outfield depth for the O's this year and will return to a .266/.320/.532 slash line with an .852 OPS, six homers and 11 RBI in his 36 games played. With both Tyler O'Neill (shoulder) and Cedric Mullins (hamstring) on the IL, Laureano should return to regular playing time. Laureano provides outfield depth for those in AL-only fantasy leagues.
