Bryce Rainer to Undergo Season-Ending Shoulder Surgery
Detroit Tigers infield prospect Bryce Rainer (shoulder) is set to undergo season-ending shoulder surgery after suffering a dislocated shoulder. Evan Petzold of The Detroit Free Press noted that the team expects him to be ready for the start of spring training. Rainer was selected with the 11th overall pick in the 2024 MLB Draft out of Harvard-Westlake HS. The 19-year-old made his professional debut at the start of this season with Low-A Lakeland. Through 35 contests, Rainer posted a strong .288/.383/.448 slash line with five doubles, five home runs, and nine stolen bases. Rainer is currently considered the No. 3-ranked prospect in the system and the No. 47-ranked in the sport on MLB.com. Fantasy managers should expect Rainer to open the 2026 season with Low-A.
