Roman Anthony Homers on Tuesday
Roman Anthony went 1-for-4 with a solo home run in a 6-5 extra innings win against Triple-A Rochester. Down one run in the bottom of the ninth, the phenom crushed a full-count breaking ball 110.5 MPH and 428 feet to send the game to extra innings. The 21-year-old has been very passive at the plate this season, with 46 walks to 50 strikeouts on the season and just a 35.6 percent swing rate. However, his batted ball metrics remain gaudy, and the whiff rate is in a solid place. The best prospect in baseball should be expected to make his debut almost any day now at this point and should be owned universally.
