James Wood Goes Yard in Washington's Win on Wednesday
James Wood went 2-for-4 with three RBI and his 15th home run of the season on Wednesday night in his team's 9-0 rout of the Mariners in Seattle. Wood's home run was a solo shot in the fifth inning against Mariners starter George Kirby. He later walked and stole a base in the seventh inning to provide even more fantasy goodness for his managers and is up to eight stolen bases on the year. In his first full season in the majors, he's hitting .287 through 55 games and has locked in recently with a 100% hard-hit rate and 50% barrel rate over his last four games with three home runs and a .558 wOBA in that small sample size. He's a must-play in all formats with so much power potential and his solid average and speed numbers make him even more valuable.
