Five Injured Players to Stash in Fantasy Baseball - Waiver Wire Pickups for Week 10 (2025)

Evan Carter - Fantasy Baseball Prospects, Draft Sleepers, MLB Rookies Rankings

Kipp highlights five injured fantasy baseball players worth stashing in redraft leagues, as of May 30, 2025 (Week 10). His waiver wire pickups for IL players.

We've got another edition of the Injured Players to Stash in Fantasy Baseball series for Week 10 as we continue the 2025 season. Today's article examines injured players, including Grayson Rodriguez, Parker Meadows, and Evan Carter, among others.

With the 2025 fantasy baseball season well underway, there are several injured players out there who have low roster percentages and may be available on your league's waiver wires. These players can provide significant value to fantasy managers, especially if they have an IL spot available on their roster.

This article will be featured weekly with updated players for fantasy managers to consider picking up and stashing off the waiver wire. Without further ado, let's look at what Week 10 of the fantasy baseball season has to offer.

Be sure to check all of our fantasy baseball draft tools and resources:

Grayson Rodriguez, SP, Baltimore Orioles

Rostered: 40% Yahoo
Estimated Return: Mid-July

2024 Stats: 3.86 ERA/130K/36 BB/116 2/3 IP

It is nearing the end of May, and we are starting to run out of players who should be picked up, or at least players who have not been mentioned in this series thus far. That, however, is not the case with Orioles right-hander Grayson Rodriguez, as we have yet to mention him in this series.

The Orioles are desperate for Rodriguez to return as their rotation is in shambles, and why wouldn’t they be? In 2024, he posted a solid 3.86 ERA with more than one strikeout per inning pitched. He also racked up 13 wins in his 20 starts while being backed by a respectable Orioles offense.

The current prognosis for Rodriguez is that he could resume throwing within the next week or two and eventually go out on a rehab assignment. He is looking to make his return shortly after the break and could provide fantasy managers with an ace up their sleeve during the fantasy baseball playoff push.

Look to add him soon, as once the rehab assignment is announced, he will likely be scooped up quickly.

Shane Bieber, SP, Cleveland Guardians

Rostered: 26% Yahoo
Estimated Return: Early July

2023 Stats: 3.80 ERA/107 K/10 BB/128 IP

Shane Bieber, unlike Rodriguez above, is no stranger to this article as he has been featured several times now. Here he is again as his official rehab assignment has been announced, and it will begin in Arizona this weekend.

Bieber has always been projected to return sometime around the break, and this timetable is coming more and more into focus by the day. While he will not return after just one rehab start, the time to add him in fantasy leagues is now. As of this writing, Bieber is currently rostered in 26% of Yahoo leagues, which is up just a tick from last week’s 25%.

If you have an IL spot or the depth to add an injured piece, this is precisely the type of guy you can afford to hold onto for a month while you await his return, due to the rewards you will reap down the stretch in the fantasy baseball season.

Bieber is a former Cy Young winner who is only 30 years old and has a lot to prove. This offseason, he signed a team-friendly deal that would allow him to rehab with the Guardians staff and build himself back up so he can snag a bigger deal on the free-agent market. Simply put, he will be motivated.

Parker Meadows, OF, Detroit Tigers

Rostered: 10% Yahoo
Estimated Return: Early June

2024 Stats: .244/.310/.433/9 HRs/28 RBI/25 BB/9 SBs

Parker Meadows was written about in this series about a month ago and is worth bringing up here again this week. Meadows began a rehab assignment with Triple-A Toledo this week and is nearing a return, likely in the next week or two.

Meadows had a respectable 2024 campaign in which he hit nine home runs and posted a .743 OPS across just 298 plate appearances. He also managed to swipe nine bags and will provide fantasy managers a bit of speed to go along with his pop.

Meadows was especially productive against right-handed pitchers in 2024, noting that he hit eight of his nine home runs against them while posting a .746 OPS.

The Tigers offense has been superb this year as well, so once Meadows is inserted into the lineup, he should return solid value for fantasy managers.

Evan Carter, OF, Texas Rangers

Rostered: 8% Yahoo
Estimated Return: Early June

2025 Stats: .182/.270/.273/1 HR/3 RBI/3 SBs

Evan Carter is a new addition to this series and is set to return from a quad injury in the coming days. He most recently faced live pitching this week and will likely need a short rehab assignment before he is activated off the IL.

He had a rough 2024 campaign and started 2025 off on a similarly rough note. This is noted by his meager .543 OPS with just one home run across his first 37 plate appearances this season.

What we are mostly hoping for with this addition is that he returns to some of the form we saw in 2023 when he posted a 1.058 OPS with five home runs across 75 plate appearances. We have to remember that Carter is just 22 years old and has a lot of room to grow in the Rangers’ struggling offense.

Carter has shown to be especially potent against right-handed pitching, as noted by his .833 OPS against righties since 2023. Look to add him in leagues where you need outfield depth and/or have the luxury to platoon him against right-handed pitching.

Luke Raley, 1B/OF, Seattle Mariners

Rostered: 4% Yahoo
Estimated Return: Mid-June

2025 Stats: .206/.345/.324/2 HRs/8 RBI/2 SBs

Luke Raley is making his second consecutive appearance in this series, as his roster percentage is still a bit low in my mind with him due to return in the next couple of weeks.

Luke Raley is available in 96% of Yahoo leagues, and this might be just a tick too high. Raley can provide fantasy managers with pop, as noted by his 22 home runs in 2024. He also managed to drive in 58 runs and provided a bit of speed with his 11 stolen bases.

He started slow this season by hitting just two home runs across 84 plate appearances and posting a .669 OPS, but he can have a solid second half once he returns from the IL.

Raley is especially potent against right-handed pitchers as he posted an OPS north of .830 in each of the previous two seasons. He plays first base and outfield in Yahoo, so he can be deployed in a variety of ways. Look to add him in the coming weeks if you need added depth in the infield or outfield.
