Edmundo Sosa Posts Big Game at Coors Field
Edmundo Sosa collected four hits and finished 4-for-5 with two runs scored, two RBI, and his first home run of the season, while helping his team rally past the Rockies 9-3. The Phillies totaled 17 hits in the game but were actually trailing 3-1 after six innings. Sosa singled and scored in the eighth inning as the Phillies took a 6-3 lead, and he tacked on two insurance runs with his home run off Scott Alexander in the ninth. The home run was Sosa's first of the year after he hit seven homers in 90 games last season. The utilityman is hitting an impressive .386 in his 23 games this season and could earn more playing time if he keeps hitting for such a great average and chipping in power as well. When he's in the lineup, he's definitely usable as a DFS value, and if he gets enough playing time, he could emerge as a mixed-league option as well.
