The San Francisco 49ers and All-Pro linebacker Fred Warner agreed to terms on a new three-year contract extension on Monday worth $63 million, according to NFL Network's Ian Rapoport. The deal makes Warner the league's highest-paid linebacker, and he'll also receive $56.7 million guaranteed. The 28-year-old former third-rounder (70th overall) in the 2018 NFL draft out of BYU has been a Pro Bowler and first-team All-Pro in four of the last five seasons for the 49ers. Warner has recorded 100-plus total tackles in all seven of his NFL seasons and finished the 2024 campaign with 131 tackles (76 solo), a sack, five tackles for loss, two interceptions (one returned for a touchdown), seven pass breakups and four forced fumbles in 17 starts. Warner finished as the No. 6 fantasy linebacker in IDP leagues last year and will once again be a must-start in those formats in 2025.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBallerRead More News
