Ian Happ Expected to Join Cubs During Series in Miami
Ian Happ (oblique) is expected to come off the 10-day injured list at some point during the team's current series in Miami against the Marlins. Happ went through a full pre-game workout on Saturday and is eligible to come off the IL on Tuesday before the second game of the series. The Cubs apparently liked what they saw from Happ during his workout over the weekend, so the 30-year-old switch-hitter should rejoin Chicago's starting lineup on either Tuesday or Wednesday, at which point fantasy managers will want to get him back into their starting lineups. Catching prospect Moises Ballesteros is likely to be sent back to the minors after going 1-for-12 at the plate after his recent call-up. Happ is currently slashing .269/.364/.381 with three homers, 19 RBI, 29 runs and two stolen bases in his 160 at-bats in 2025.
