Josue De Paula Collects Two Hits, Swipes A Pair Of Bases At High-A
Josue De Paula went 2-for-4 with two singles and a pair of stolen bases on Tuesday for High-A Great Lakes. It is the fifth multi-hit effort in his last seven games, and the 19-year-old now boasts a .301/.419/.528 slash line with six home runs, seven stolen bases, and a 25:24 K:BB through 33 games this season. With Roki Sasaki's graduation from the prospect ranks, the left-handed slugger moved up to the second-ranked prospect in the Dodgers' farm system and rose slightly on MLB.com's latest refresh of their top prospects list, going from No. 35 to No. 33 overall. With an advanced contact and power profile to go along with a keen eye and ability to steal bases, the 6-foot-3 slugger looks like a future multi-category contributor and should make a run at a major-league debut next season.
