Kyle Teel Riding 12-Game Hit Streak At Triple-A
Kyle Teel went 1-for-2 with two walks, an RBI, and two runs scored on Sunday for Triple-A Charlotte, extending his current hit streak to 12 games and hitting safely in 19 of his last 20. During the 12-game stretch, the left-handed hitter is 15-for-44 (.341), raising his season-long slash line to .264/.361/.416 with a .358 wOBA and 107 wRC+. The former first-round draft pick is expected to make a big league debut this year, and it could come within the next month if he keeps hitting. Chicago's second-ranked prospect would in all likelihood join fellow prospect (Chicago's No. 5) Edgar Quero at the big league level, but with Quero holding his own in the majors, it's unclear what type of playing time split there would be, which could limit Teel's usefulness for fantasy.
