DraftKings CFB DFS Lineup Picks: Daily College Fantasy Football (10/4/24)

Dillon Gabriel - College Football Rankings, NCAA CFB DFS Lineup Picks

Mike's DraftKings daily fantasy college football lineup picks for Friday (10/4/24). His CFB DFS lineup picks and DFS sleepers will help you win.

We tip the scales with four games on our Friday night with two ranked teams in action. A guy could get used to this! We start in the Fun Belt with Jacksonville State, now FBS veterans, taking on FBS newcomers Kennesaw State.

Next up is a Texas-sized Big 12 (14) tilt with Houston heading up to Fort Worth to take on the Toadies. Next is Syracuse and UNLV from Sin City. We close this out in Eugene with Michigan State in town to face Duck U.

In this article, I will be providing you with my daily fantasy college football lineup picks for DraftKings on 10/4/24, locking at 7 p.m. Eastern. I’ll provide multiple player suggestions for players at quarterback, running back, and wide receiver, aiming to highlight one option at the high, middle, and lower end of the salary scale. Good luck, RotoBallers.

DraftKings CFB DFS Picks - Quarterbacks

Dillon Gabriel, Oregon ($9.7K)

This looks very similar to Bo Nix last year, right? For DFS purposes, this creates a very high floor. Gabriel isn't running as much as he did at Oklahoma for the last couple of seasons, but he has made up for that by not making mistakes. Gabriel has at least two touchdowns in every game and  21 or more DraftKings points. He provides the best floor on the slate, just as Oregon wants it to be.

Tyler Huff, Jacksonville State ($7.1K)

The Gamecocks have finally decided on a quarterback. The two and sometimes three-man system discombobulated the offense last season and into this year. That's done now. Huff is the guy. Some of it is smart passing. Most of it is his rushing ability.

Huff has 258 rushing yards in three starts with two touchdowns. He has also thrown for 707 yards and three touchdowns. His price feels low considering Kennesaw State has struggled against both rushing and passing teams this year. The Gamecocks are both.

Also consider: Josh Hoover, TCU ($9.1K); Hajj-Malik Williams, UNLV ($7K)

DraftKings CFB DFS Picks - Running Backs

Cam Cook, TCU ($6K)

Most backs on this slate are in a timeshare. Cook is, but he has a larger share than most. In addition to his 12-15 carries per game, he has 11 receptions over the last three games. Houston's defense hasn't been the problem this year, but TCU will likely be in a position where they're trying to eat the clock to end the game. That should mean plenty of carries for Cook.

Stacy Sneed, Houston ($3.5K)

There has been no official change on the depth chart, but Sneed was the only Houston back that gained any traction against Iowa State last week. Redshirt freshman Re'Shaun Sanford II only logged two carries against the Cyclones. It's a dirty little secret that TCU has allowed all FBS teams to run for over 100 yards on them. Central Florida ran for 289 yards! There will be room for Snead to run tonight.

Also consider: LeQuint Allen, Syracuse ($7.8K); Tre Stewart, Jacksonville State ($5.5K)

DraftKings CFB DFS Picks - Wide Receivers

Ricky White III, UNLV ($7.2K)

With Williams under center for the Rebels, White caught his most passes on the season. The Rebels didn't go deep as often with Williams, but we DFS players are fine with that. More catches mean more extra points. White will still find the end zone at least once. Add in double-digit receptions, and he's entering slate-breaking territory.

Jack Bech, TCU ($7K)

On slates with such a weak running back pool, I go after the target hogs and punt running backs. Bech has 27 receptions for 497 yards and five touchdowns in his last three games alone. He and Josh Hoover are the kind of beasts that you want to anchor your lineups with.

Jaron Glover, Michigan State ($4.2K)

Glover led the Spartans in targets in his return to the field against Ohio State. The Spartans will likely be playing from behind in Eugene, so that should mean plenty of targets for Glover. Montorie Foster Jr. had his big games with Glover out of the lineup. Both are good options, but I'll opt for Glover if I can afford him.

Also consider: Tez Johnson, Oregon ($7.9K); Trebor Pena, Syracuse ($6.7K); Eric McAlister, TCU ($5K)

DraftKings CFB Stacks

Jacksonville State

Kennesaw has struggled in its first year of FBS, which can (usually) be expected. Not everyone can be James Madison. The Jacksonville offense is pretty straightforward with its contributors. Huff and Stewart are the obvious ones since the Gamecocks don't pass much. Michael Pettway is the receiver to add if you want to cover all aspects of the offense.

Oregon

The Ducks are a tougher play because of the price. If running Oregon, you need to start with Gabriel and Tez Johnson. Traeshon Holden has held off Evan Stewart for the WR2 role so far and is an affordable piece of the stack. I like Jordan James as well, but Michigan State's run defense has been the strength of the team.

Also consider: UNLV, TCU
