Miami Dolphins running back Raheem Mostert had a miracle season in 2023, cracking 1,000 rushing yards for the first time in his career, averaging 4.84 yards per carry, scoring a ridiculous 21 total touchdowns, and finishing as the RB5 overall in PPR fantasy scoring.
Mostert was ridiculously consistent, scoring a touchdown in 12 of his 16 games played and only scoring single-digit fantasy points one time. Mostert was a league-winner in all formats, and at his draft capital was one of the biggest steals in recent memory. It looked like Mostert would hit the ground running in 2024.
That didn't happen. Mostert lasted one game before going down with a chest injury. He had just six carries for nine yards in that game. So is Raheem Mostert still hurt or is he healthy? Will he play in Week 4 against the Tennessee Titans? Let's dive in.

Raheem Mostert Injury Update for Fantasy Football
Mostert has not played since Week 1, and while there hasn't been much word on his return, it would be odd for an undisclosed chest injury to cause Mostert to miss an extended amount of time. Mostert's managers can have optimism that he'll return soon.

Mostert's managers will want to stay updated about his injury. There's a chance that the Dolphins will be overly cautious with Mostert's injury. Franchises are often tight-lipped about injuries like these, which can be frustrating to fantasy managers, so patience goes a long way.
Raheem Mostert Fantasy Football Outlook
It's not good. Mostert's 1ish yard per carry in the first game and inability to do anything in the preseason isn't great. Mostert had the benefit of defenses not being ready for McDaniel's run schemes in 2023 and center Connor Williams, one of the best run-blockers in the NFL, last year. Not so this year.
Mostert is also 32 years old. There's a common belief that players who have huge seasons are so elite that they will have a great season the next season no matter what, even though one-hit wonders happen constantly. Hardly any running backs are fantasy-relevant at age 32, and the Dolphins drafted his eventual replacement.

There's also not enough credit given to offensive lines when discussing running backs. Mostert had wide-open holes like the one above to run through all season. Speed doesn't matter quite as much when you're getting tackled at the line of scrimmage. The Dolphins' run blocking has regressed a lot in 2024.
Mostert is a borderline benchworthy player when he returns unless the Dolphins offense turns it around when QB Tua Tagovailoa returns. It's not looking good, though. The Dolphins offense was anemic even when Tagovailoa was playing.
