ANALYSIS: New Orleans Saints wide receiver Chris Olave had high expectations entering the 2024 season. Unfortunately, he fell well short of them in Week 1. The former Ohio State star was the WR88 last week, scoring 2.1 half-point PPR fantasy points. Olave had only two targets in the blowout victory, catching both for 11 receiving yards.
Many are rightfully calling the third-year receiver a buy-low candidate. Olave ran only five routes in the second half of the Week 1 contest. While fantasy players should explore trading for the star receiver, they will want to wait one more week before making an offer.

Olave faces the Dallas Cowboys in Week 2. They held the Cleveland Browns wide receivers to nine receptions for 53 receiving yards, a touchdown, and 15.8 fantasy points last week. Furthermore, Amari Cooper had only 2.6 fantasy points on nine targets with a negative average separation score (per Fantasy Points Data).
While the RotoBaller Week 2 rankings have Olave as the WR14 this week, he comes with significant risk because of the matchup against the Cowboys.
