CBB DFS: Main DraftKings Daily Fantasy College Basketball Picks - Today's Top Lineups (3/6/24)

Today's main DraftKings CBB DFS lineup picks for 3/6/24. Mike's top daily fantasy college basketball sleepers to build winning NCAA DFS lineups on DraftKings.

We don't have a fancy name for Wednesday, but what we do have is 15 games over two slates. The main slate features 10 games again tonight. As usual, I will be your college basketball DFS spirit guide. We'll start with the main slate, which features some elite matchups on it. Villanova heads over to Seton Hall for the appetizer just before the main window begins.

The usual window gives us LSU in Fayetteville for the Boot. Tennessee heads over to South Carolina to go chicken hunting. Northwestern is in East Lansing to face Sparty. Houston heads to Orlando for a meeting with UCF. TCU heads to Morgantown. Boston College heads down to South Beach for some sun and maybe some basketball. Xavier is in Indy to face Butler. BYU heads to Ames for some famed Hilton Magic. We close this out in Milwaukee with UConn facing Marquette without their best player.

This article will provide you with my daily fantasy college basketball lineup picks on DraftKings on 3/6/24, starting at 6:30 p.m. EST. I’ll provide multiple player suggestions at guard and forward, aiming to highlight one option at the salary scale's high, middle, and lower levels. Good luck, RotoBallers.

Today's DraftKings Guards - CBB DFS Lineup Picks

Tristen Newton, Connecticut ($9.6K)

Newton has three consecutive double-doubles, which in itself is unusual for guards. One of those was a triple-double in the blowout win over Villanova. Newton has dropped at least 40 DraftKings points in four straight games. He is getting hot at exactly the right time for the Huskies. The first game of that run was against this same Marquette team that UConn beat by 28 points. That's right...Newton topped 40 DraftKings points in a truncated minutes load (32). There's some risk because this promises to be a blowout with Tyler Kolek out of action, but Newton is so hot right now that it might not matter.

Jamal Shead, Houston ($8.7K)

There's very little I like in the middle tier tonight, so I'm going to try and cram two studs in there. Some of the value plays on this slate are strong enough to do it, and leaving Shead in the "also consider" seems an insult to his current performance. Shead is averaging 16.6 points, 4.1 rebounds, 6.7 assists, 0.3 blocks, and 2.9 steals per game since the loss at the Phog on February 3. That's good for about 38.2 DraftKings points per contest. I'll take that in this price range.

Stevie Mitchell, Marquette ($5.5K)

No one player can replace the production lost by Tyler Kolek. Marquette is fortunate enough to run a deep bench anyway. That's a dream situation for us DFS players because the normal bench guys have played enough that we know what to expect from them. Mitchell played 32 minutes and put up 29.75 DraftKings points without Kolek over the weekend. He soaked up a lot of the shots. The assists weren't replaced by any one player. Kolek is a passer all in his own class.

Zachary Davis, South Carolina ($4.7K)

The Gamecocks have wasted a lot of time and talent on Myles Stute this year. That appears to be changing. Davis has been starting over Stute since the middle of January, but his minutes have increased a lot recently. Davis has played over 30 minutes in three straight games. He is averaging 12.7 points, 5.0 rebounds, 1.8 assists, 0.3 blocks, and 0.7 steals in 32 minutes per game. That's a great return for a value play!

Also consider: Khalif Battle, Arkansas ($9.4K); Dalton Knecht, Tennessee ($8.6K); Dayvion McKnight, Xavier ($7.9K); Posh Alexander, Butler ($7.3K); Jameer Nelson Jr., TCU ($6.6K); Justin Moore, Villanova ($6K); Jaden Akins, Michigan State ($5.3K); Jeremiah Davenport, Arkansas ($4.4K); Jordan Longino, Villanova ($4.2K); Zaide Lowery, Marquette ($3.3K)

Today's DraftKings Forwards - CBB DFS Lineup Picks

Donovan Clingan, Connecticut ($8.1K)

Clingan is not the most consistent guy out there. One of the main reasons is that he doesn't play more than 25 minutes per game. Villanova and Creighton kept him off the boards, which crashed his value. Seton Hall did not and he went for 47.25 DraftKings points. Clingan mauled an undersized Marquette team in the first meeting on February 17 for 40 DraftKings points in just 24 minutes. Sure, he may not make 7-of-8 shots again, but another double-double is still attainable.

Nick Martinelli, Northwestern ($7K)

The absence of Ty Berry and Ryan Langborg has opened up some minutes for the Northwestern bench. Martinelli has taken full advantage of that. Martinelli has averaged 13.9 points, 6.7 rebounds, 1.1 assists, and 0.6 assists in seven games as a starter. He held his own in the first game against the Spartans, putting up 20.5 DraftKings points in 22 minutes. If he plays around 35 minutes like he has been, Martinelli could be a bargain at this price.

Trevon Brazile, Arkansas ($5K)

Brazile made his long-awaited return to the starting five for the Hogs after coming off the bench for three games against Kentucky on Saturday. That shows Arkansas had every intention of upping his minutes. Brazile had other plans, as he fouled out in just 15 minutes of court time. Hey, that keeps his price low for at least one more matchup.

The bad news is that Brazile has fouled out of back-to-back games, playing a combined 32 minutes. The good news is that he was productive when he was in there. If he gets back up around the 30 minutes per game that he was enjoying before his knee injury, Brazile could return at least 5x value. That's unheard of in college DFS.

Kachi Nzeh, Xavier ($4.2K)

The Musketeers switched the lineup around after three straight losses and the freshman wound up in the rotation against DePaul last week. In his two starts, Nzeh has 13 points, 10 rebounds, two assists, and two steals in 50 minutes. Those aren't world-beating numbers, but they are very good for a cheap value play.

Also consider: Quinten Post, Boston College ($8.9K); Jesse Edwards, West Virginia ($7.8K); Oso Ighodaro, Marquette ($7.2K); David Joplin, Marquette ($6.7K); Fousseyni Traore, BYU ($6.2K); Jalen Reed, LSU ($5.5K); C.J. Walker, Central Florida ($4.6K); Carson Cooper, Michigan State ($4.3K); Xavier Booker, Michigan State ($3.8K)
