BALLER MOVE: Start in 10+ Team Leagues
POSITIONAL VALUE: WR3
ANALYSIS: Pittsburgh Steelers wide receiver George Pickens has been sneaky good this season. He is the WR20 for the year, averaging 11.1 half-point PPR fantasy points per game. After struggling with Kenny Pickett and Mitch Trubisky under center, the third-year wide receiver has been outstanding the past two weeks with Mason Rudolph playing quarterback.
The team has a 2-0 record with Rudolph as the starter. More importantly, he has unleashed Pickens. The former Georgia wide receiver has been the WR2 over the past two weeks, averaging 25.1 fantasy points per game, a higher average than everyone but CeeDee Lamb.
Last week, Pickens had his second consecutive game with over 130 receiving yards and 16 fantasy points. The Seattle Seahawks secondary had no answers for the talented wide receiver.
This week, he faces the Baltimore Ravens in a matchup that means everything to the Steelers. Pittsburgh must win to stay in the AFC playoff picture. Meanwhile, the Ravens have nothing to play for after securing the No. 1 seed in the playoffs last week.
While Baltimore has held wide receivers to the ninth-fewest fantasy points per game this season, fantasy players should still start Pickens. The wide receiver has been on fire with Rudolph, while the Ravens will rest several key starters on defense. The only thing that could keep Pickens from having another massive performance is the rain and snow the Baltimore area is expected to get on Saturday.
