Happy December, RotoBallers! Another day, another dollar in the NBA and we have a massive 13-game slate worth of NBA action throughout the entire day. We have some fun matchups tonight with some surprising storylines to monitor.
We have ourselves a handful of teams coming into tonight's slate on a back-to-back, as the Kings, Warriors, Raptors, Nuggets, Nets, Hawks, Rockets, and Mavericks suit up for the second consecutive evening.
In this article, I'll be providing my favorite picks against the spread, game totals, parlays, and teasers for the first full NBA slate of the season that tips off at 12:30 PM EST on Saturday, December 23.

NBA Betting Picks: Totals
Milwaukee Bucks (-2.5) @ New York Knicks (241.5 total)
I'll start up in New York as the Milwaukee Bucks (21-7) come to town to take on the New York Knicks (16-11).
Neither team played last night, and all NBA teams have off tomorrow for Christmas Eve, which is the perfect time to take an over. Rather than looking at the full game, I'll take a look at the Knicks' team total here. New York ranks 27th in the league in pace but takes on a Bucks team that ranks third in pace. This should give the Knicks a nice pace boost. They also project for positive regression on the offensive end, while the Bucks project to go the other way on the defensive end. Beyond this, my model projects the Knicks to score 126.74 points tonight, so I'm comfortable taking the team total over.

NBA Betting Picks: ML and Spreads
Denver Nuggets (-8) @ Charlotte Hornets (234.5 total)
I'll head down to Charlotte for my second game of the day.
We backed the Sixers (-11.5) spread against the Hornets last Saturday, which ended up working out pretty well as they covered the spread by a measly 41 points. We'll look to do the same with the defending champs despite them coming into this one on a back-to-back. They project to a 121.75 offensive efficiency (+6.45) and 108.57 defensive efficiency (-2.63), which shows me that they're in a great spot to cover here. I think eight is simply not enough points and can see the Nuggets pulling this one out by double digits.
