Vegas Golden Knights center Nolan Patrick has decided to retire from the NHL due to ongoing concussion issues. The former second overall pick missed the entire 2022-23 season and has played just 77 games since the 2020-21 campaign. It is certainly a tough situation for a player who once boasted plenty of promise. The Flyers drafted Patrick with the second pick of the 2017 draft behind only Nico Hischier after he tallied 61 goals and 148 points across 105 games in his final two seasons of junior with the Brandon Wheat Kings. The Manitoba native played in 145 games across his first two NHL seasons, recording 26 goals and 61 points in that time. However, injuries took over and Patrick logged just 16 points across his final 75 NHL contests.--Brenton KempRead More News
