Buy Low, Sell High Week 12 Fantasy Trade Value Recommendations - Justin Jefferson, Stefon Diggs, Saquon Barkley, and more

Justin Jefferson - Fantasy Football Rankings, DFS Lineup Picks, NFL Injury News

Joey's fantasy football trade analyzer article for Week 12 of the 2023 NFL season. His buy-low and sell-high fantasy football trade candidates and advice.

Welcome RotoBallers to the final buy low, sell high trade piece of the season. It's been 12 weeks since I started writing this all the way back in Week 1, and hopefully, my advice has helped you acquire some of the biggest names in fantasy.

Over the course of the year, players like CeeDee Lamb, Joe Mixon, and Breece Hall were some of my favorite buy-low candidates when their value was as low as it was to begin the year. Those players are now helping fantasy managers clinch a playoff spot down the stretch.

This week will be the final trade piece of the season with many leagues having their trade deadline in the coming days. Here are two final players you should buy low on and two players you should sell high on before next week.

Be sure to check all of our dynasty fantasy football resources for 2025:

Fantasy Football Buy-Low Trade Targets

WR Justin Jefferson, Minnesota Vikings

Fantasy managers that drafted Minnesota Vikings wide receiver Justin Jefferson are likely frustrated that their best player hasn't played since Week 5. After all, he was the consensus 1.01 in this year's draft, and teams that roster the All-Pro wideout are probably still fighting for a playoff spot.

In four of the five fantasy leagues that I am in, teams that have Jefferson are all in the bottom half of the league. Three of those teams are in the six to seven range and the other is currently in last place.

So, if that is also happening in your league, now is the perfect time to buy low on one of the best wide receivers in the game. With Jefferson likely not playing in Week 12 and off with a bye in Week 13, those fantasy managers who need to win over the next two weeks should be looking to trade him. That's where you come in -- if you are in a good spot in the standings.

In four games this year, Jefferson averaged 21.8 PPR fantasy points per game while finishing as a top-12 fantasy wideout in all four full contests he played. People might forget how good he actually is and is a consistent 20-point scorer. It might be worth a lot to get him, but he could be the perfect addition to boost your team to a championship.

WR Stefon Diggs, Buffalo Bills

On this last edition of buy low, sell high, we are providing some big names to kick things off. Buffalo Bills wide receiver Stefon Diggs is another star you should be looking to trade for in fantasy football.

Diggs' fantasy value might never be lower after back-to-back rough performances. In Week 10, he caught just three passes for 34 yards, and in Week 11, he had four catches for 27 yards. These two games marked the first time that Diggs has been held to under 35 receiving yards in consecutive games since he's been with the Bills.

On top of the recent poor production, the 29-year-old wideout has a bye in Week 13. That could be making some fantasy managers feel uneasy with just three weeks to go. That makes Diggs one of the best buy-low options right now. And you better move fast on it because he could explode in Week 12 against an Eagles secondary that allows the most fantasy points per game to wide receivers this season.

Diggs still ranks as the WR5 on the season while averaging 18.95 PPR fantasy points per game. Depending on the team that rosters him, you might be able to get him at a lower value.

Fantasy Football Sell-High Trade Targets

RB Saquon Barkley, New York Giants

New York Giants running back Saquon Barkley was on this list a few weeks ago because of the daunting schedule that remains for him. Not only do the Giants have a bye in Week 13, but Barkley has the hardest fantasy playoff schedule for running backs this season.

In Week 15, Barkley will have to face a vicious Saints run defense. In Week 16, he'll have the Eagles trying to contain him, and in Week 17, he'll see a Rams defense that has been surprisingly good at stopping the run this year. All three of those teams rank top seven in terms of fantasy points allowed to running backs in 2023. Eagles rank first, the Saints rank fourth, and the Rams rank seventh.

Coming off an RB1 finish last week with 28 fantasy points, now is the time to trade him away. It's hard to trust a Tommy Devito-led offense, and New York's offensive line is one of the worst in the league. His value might be high right now due to his most recent game, so try to trade him before his bye.

WR Christian Watson, Green Bay Packers

There are people out there who believe Green Bay Packers wide receiver Christian Watson was one of the best buy-low options over the past couple of weeks. But, following his Week 12 game on Thanksgiving, he is someone I am looking to get rid of before the trade deadline.

In Week 12, Watson caught five passes for 94 yards and one touchdown in the Packers' win. His five catches and 94 yards are both season-highs. However, I don't view the 24-year-old wideout as a consistent fantasy option over the last five weeks of the season. Prior to Thursday's performance, he had just one game over 10 half-PPR fantasy points in 2023.

Of course, Watson has an extremely high ceiling every game due to his big play ability. But he also carries a very low floor, as we have seen this season.

Watson is a player that will be hard to start every week, especially in a fantasy playoff game. He hasn't seen more than eight targets in a game and is only averaging only 5.5 targets per game this year. Now might be the perfect time to sell high on him and get a more consistent wide receiver in return.
