Defenseman Tim Berni is set to spend the 2023-24 season in Europe after failing to make the Columbus Blue Jackets roster. Berni made his NHL debut last season with Columbus, skating in 59 games, but he couldn't come to an agreement on a new contract with the team. Despite being without a contract for the upcoming campaign, Berni still participated in the Blue Jackets training camp on a professional tryout agreement. However, he couldn't crack the roster and is now expected to spend at least a season back in his native Switzerland. The Blue Jackets will still have his NHL rights, with Berni being a restricted free agent.--Taavi Pailk - RotoBallerRead More News
