WNBA dfs lineup picks daily fantasy basketball stock

Justin Carter's top daily fantasy WNBA lineup picks for 9/8/23. Expert WNBA DFS advice for DraftKings and FanDuel.

We've got a big night of WNBA action on Friday, with five games on the slate as the season nears its conclusion. This will be the penultimate game for all 10 teams in action before Sunday's six-game slate closes out the regular season.

If you're looking for WNBA daily fantasy picks and some betting advice this season, then you're in the right place. I'll be here providing picks for any slate with two or more games, offering my insight into the league.

In this article, I'll be providing you with some daily fantasy WNBA lineup picks for DraftKings and FanDuel. These lineup picks will range from elite players to mid-priced options and value plays. The slates lock on 9/8/2023 at 7:00 PM ET. Want to talk more about the WNBA? I'm always available on Twitter and always down to discuss women's basketball: @juscarts.

WNBA DFS Picks: Forward

Alyssa Thomas (Connecticut Sun) vs. IND (DK: $12,300, FD: $9,200)

The Alyssa Thomas MVP train continues to gain momentum as the 2023 WNBA season draws to a close.

She made about as big of a statement as she could last time out, scoring 27 points on 11-for-14 shooting in a victory over the Sparks. Thomas also added 12 rebounds, 14 assists, one block, and six steals during the game. Just a monster performance from a player who has been crucial to everything Connecticut has done this season.

Myisha Hines-Allen (Washington Mystics) vs. ATL (DK: $6,400, FD: $5,600)

Shakira Austin has missed the past two games and is set to miss Friday's game as well. The big story of her absence when it comes to DFS has been the impressive numbers that Myisha Hines-Allen has posted in her absence, as she's gone over 25 fantasy points in consecutive outings.

Last time out, MHA only scored four points on 2-for-8 shooting, but her other numbers made up for that, as she pulled down eight rebounds and dished out eight assists to go along with a steal. Her scoring numbers are still inconsistent, but she's had seven or more rebounds in three straight contests.

Robyn Parks (Chicago Sky) vs. MIN (DK: $4,500, FD: $4,800)

Robyn Parks has seen an increase in minutes over the past two games, playing 20-plus minutes in consecutive outings, including 26 minutes last time out, her second-highest mark of the season. The 31-year-old rookie is finally getting a chance to play in the WNBA after spending time playing overseas, and she's making a nice impact off the bench for the Sky.

Parks has also scored in double figures in both games, marking the first time she's had consecutive games with 10 or more points. Last game against the Fever, she scored 11 points on 4-for-9 shooting with one rebound and two assists. You have to hope she pulls down a few more rebounds than she has been, but she's a player with a near-rock-bottom DFS salary who should see 20 minutes of action, so that's worth the risk.

WNBA DFS Picks: Guard

Jewell Loyd (Seattle Storm) @ DAL (DK: $10,800, FD: $7,800)

The Storm won't make the playoffs, but Jewell Loyd still has a chance to earn the single-season scoring record. The WNBA expanded its schedule to 40 games this season, and now two players have already surpassed Diana Taurasi's previous season high of 860 points. Breanna Stewart, with one game left to play, is at 910. Jewell Loyd, with two left, is at 878.

Can Loyd surpass Stewart? It will be tough, since Stewart's going to wind up playing two more games this season than Loyd. But with 25 or more points in three straight games, Loyd's sure trying. I expect that to continue against a Wings team that's been the league's worst defense over the past 10 games.

Marina Mabrey (Chicago Sky) vs. MIN (DK: $8,600, FD: $6,200)

Marina Mabrey has been scoring a lot of points for the Chicago Sky. She's scored in double figures in seven consecutive games, including putting up 17 points on 7-for-15 shooting last time out in a big win over the Indiana Fever. She also added four rebounds, six assists, and two blocks in the victory.

Now, Mabrey is set to face the Minnesota Lynx. The last time she played Minny, she posted a fine stat line, scoring 11 points to go along with three rebounds and three assists. But the Lynx have the fourth-worst defensive rating in the league over the past five games, so I can see a big showing from Mabrey in this one.

Sug Sutton (Phoenix Mercury) @ NY (DK: $7,300, FD: $5,500)

Diana Taurasi will miss her fourth straight game on Friday. With Taurasi out, Sug Sutton has played 34 or more minutes in three consecutive contests, spending a lot of time as the team's lead initiator.

While the scoring hasn't always been there, with Sutton shooting 25% or worse in two straight games, she's had five or more assists in every game without Taurasi, which has helped provide her with a solid DFS floor. If she can put something together like the 6-for-12 shooting night she had a few games back, this could be a really great DFS option for you.
