After what happened to Ryan Preece at Daytona last week, few expected him back this week at Darlington. Preece and his Stewart-Haas Ford did not qualify well and will start 34th. That is not the real story. After his car flipped more than 11 times last week, the real win was seeing Preece at Darlington and ready to go. Preece did finish 15th after starting 32nd in the May race on the 1.366-mile track. Place differential is again potentially positive and Preece knows how to stay out of trouble.
