Bubba Wallace Causes Crash In Chicago Street Race: Where Did He Finish? NASCAR Update

It was a rough day at the office for NASCAR driver Bubba Wallace in the Chicago street race. The driver of the No. 23 Toyota, who is still looking to notch his first NASCAR Cup Series victory of the season, was involved in a crash near the end of the Grant Park 220 race.

Wallace struggled mightily with the "street course" layout in Chicago over the weekend. His discomfort showed up in the Team 23XI driver's results, as an error into Turn 1 of the track caused a crash with fellow driver Rickey Stenhouse Jr. near the end of the race.

What Was Bubba Wallace's Finishing Position In Chicago?

Bubba Wallace never seemed to be completely comfortable on the Chicago street course that hosted the Grant Park 220. That said, Wallace qualified middle of the pack and started the race in 14th position.

However, Wallace would lose ground throughout the day. As the race neared its conclusion, the No. 23 came into Turn 1 too hot, which forced a crash, as well as a collision with competitor Rickey Stenhouse Jr...

The accident ruined Wallace's day and forced the Grant Park 220 to go into overtime. Many NASCAR fans weren't happy with Bubba's judgment this weekend. He ultimately slumped into a 31st-place finish.
