WNBA Daily Fantasy Lineup Picks (6/30/23): WNBA DFS Advice for DraftKings, FanDuel

WNBA dfs lineup picks daily fantasy basketball stock

Justin Carter's top daily fantasy WNBA lineup picks for 6/30/23. Expert WNBA DFS advice for DraftKings, FanDuel.

June comes to a close today, and the final WNBA slate of the month is a fun two-gamer that sees the Mystics take on the Dream and the Sparks take on the Sky. This is a pretty fascinating one from a DFS perspective, as we don't really have a ton of high-priced players here, especially at guard.

If you're looking for WNBA daily fantasy picks and some betting advice this season, then you're in the right place. I'll be here providing picks for any slate with two or more games, as well as adding a little betting advice.

In this article, I'll be providing you with some daily fantasy WNBA lineup picks for DraftKings and FanDuel. These lineup picks will range from elite players to mid-priced options and value plays. The slates lock on 6/30/2023 at 7:30 p.m. ET. Want to talk more about the WNBA? I'm always available on Twitter and always down to discuss women's basketball: @juscarts.

WNBA DFS Picks: Forward

Nneka Ogwumike (Los Angeles Sparks)  - @ CHI - DK: $12,000, FD: $8,700

There's really only one player that I'd trust to anchor my lineup on Friday night and that's Nneka Ogwumike, who averages more fantasy points than anyone else on this slate by a pretty wide margin. For example, Ogwumike averages 42.3 DraftKings points per game. Second on this slate is Elena Delle Donne at 34.4.

On the season, Ogwumike is averaging 19.9 points and 9.8 rebounds per game, as well as 3.4 assists, 1.7 steals, and 0.8 blocks. The points, rebounds, and assists are all career-high marks.

Last time out against Chicago, Ogwumike struggled a little with her shot, shooting 33.3% from the floor, her lowest mark since June 16 against the Lynx. But she still scored more fantasy points than any other player is averaging, as she scored 16 points and pulled down 11 rebounds while also adding two assists, one block, and two steals.

Nia Coffey (Atlanta Dream)  - vs. WAS - DK: $6,200, FD: $5,500

The Dream have been a hard team to figure out in terms of who to play beyond the obvious three of Cheyenne Parker, Rhyne Howard, and Allisha Gray. And a lot of Coffey's performances this season haven't been great, so she's not a name that I've really brought up.

But there might be some value to riding the hot hand, right? Because on Wednesday against this same Washington team, Coffey had her best scoring output of the year. In 23 minutes, she went 5-for-11 from the floor and 3-for-3 from the line, finishing with 14 points. She also added four rebounds, one assist, one block, and two steals.

Maybe it was a fluke. The game before that, she scored zero points. But she has scored in double figures in two of the last four games after having only done that once all year before this stretch, so maybe there's something developing here.

Tianna Hawkins (Washington Mystics)  - @ ATL - DK: $5,800, FD: $5,200

FanDuel has priced Hawkins up accordingly with her new role, but she remains a pretty big value over on DraftKings, so consider this play targeted toward that platform, though I think she's still a solid FD option as well. She just doesn't feel like a cheat code over there.

With Shakira Austin out with a hip strain, Hawkins is going to see the floor more. Last game, she reminded people that she's still a really good basketball player as she set season highs in points and rebounds with 13 and 11, respectively. It's also worth noting she started that game, which suggests she'll fill Austin's lineup spot for the duration of the Austin injury.

WNBA DFS Picks: Guard

Brittney Sykes (Washington Mystics)  - @ ATL - DK: $9,900, FD:  $7,100

The Dream had no answer for Sykes on Wednesday when these two sides met, as she scored 12 points on 3-for-6 shooting and also added 10 assists. Sykes grabbed four rebounds as well, plus recorded a block and a steal.

It was the fourth time in the last five games that Sykes scored in double figures and also continued a streak of recording at least one steal in every game this season. One thing that gives Sykes a high floor in fantasy is that she compiles stats in a large variety of ways, so even if something's off one night, she still gives you big numbers elsewhere.

Courtney Williams (Chicago Sky)  - vs. LA - DK: $8,200, FD: $6,300

Williams had one of her best games of the season against the Sparks on Wednesday, scoring 21 points on 9-for-15 shooting to go along with nine rebounds, two assists, two blocks, and two steals.

Just a stat-filling showing from Williams, who hasn't really set the world on fire in Chicago. Her 8.1 points per game would be her worst average since her rookie season if the number holds up.

But she's scored in double figures in consecutive games, and her other numbers are among the best in her career. She's never averaged more assists than she is now, and she's only averaged more rebounds twice. If the scoring is coming around—and it looks like it might be—then Williams is going to be a pretty solid value here.

Ariel Atkins (Washington Mystics)  - @ ATL - DK: $7,900, FD: $6,100

Atkins wasn't very consistent to start the year, but she's hit her stride lately, scoring in double figures in three consecutive games and shooting over 45% in all three outings. She's also made multiple three-pointers in all three of those games.

Last time out against this Dream squad, Atkins was 6-for-10 for 19 points in 26 minutes of action. She went 3-f0r-4 from deep and also added five rebounds, three assists, one block, and one steal.
