Austin Cindric did qualify 15th for the race at Kansas. However, that was a good bit slower than Ryan Blaney (10th) and Joey Logano (6th). Cindric was 0.37 seconds off the qualifying mark set by William Byron and a quarter of a second off Logano. The Team Penske Ford driver has had a rough season in 2023. Cindric did not have a single top ten in April and finished no better than 19th in any race. Intermediate tracks have been okay so far. Cindric managed a 12th and 11th last year and he dropped out of the top ten with slow late total speed interval in the Spring. --Chris Wassel - RotoBaller
