Be sure to check all of our fantasy football rankings for 2025:

James Conner Injury Update

Arizona Cardinals running back James Conner (ankle) will be a game-time decision in Week 3 against the division-rival Los Angeles Rams, according to head coach Kliff Kingsbury. It makes Conner a pretty risky fantasy option this week with the game being on the later slate on Sunday.

If the 27-year-old misses the contest, Darrel Williams and Eno Benjamin would likely split the backfield workload in Arizona, with Williams serving as the early down back and Benjamin more on passing downs. After Conner was injured in the Week 2 overtime win over the Las Vegas Raiders, Williams had a long touchdown run and finished with eight carries for 59 yards. Williams needs to be added ASAP off the waiver wire if you have Conner rostered.

Michael Pittman Jr. Injury Update

Indianapolis Colts wide receiver Michael Pittman Jr. (quadriceps) is "ready to go" for the team's Week 3 matchup with the Kansas City Chiefs, according to head coach Frank Reich. Pittman was held out of action in Week 2, and the Colts' offense struggled mightily without their No. 1 wide receiver.

They'll need all they can get out of him, as they will likely need to score a lot of points to keep up with Patrick Mahomes and company. Pittman can be locked into lineups as a low-end WR1 option this week, as he draws a solid matchup with a Chiefs defense that just allowed 113 yards and a touchdown to Mike Williams in Week 2.

Josh Jacobs Injury Update

Las Vegas Raiders running back Josh Jacobs (illness), who is listed as questionable for Week 3 against the Tennessee Titans, did not travel with the team on Friday. Jacobs missed practice the last two days with an illness and is now firmly in doubt for Sunday's game against Tennessee.

Fantasy managers that have the 24-year-old in their starting lineups need to have a backup plan in place. The good news is we'll know early on Sunday whether Jacobs will be active. If he ends up playing, Jacobs will be in play as an RB2 for fantasy managers. But if he's ruled out, expect some combination of Brandon Bolden (hamstring), Ameer Abdullah and rookie Zamir White to share backfield duties against the Titans. Bolden was inactive last week but is off the Week 3 injury report.

Keenan Allen Injury Update

Los Angeles Chargers wide receiver Keenan Allen (hamstring) is listed as questionable to play in Week 3 against the Jacksonville Jaguars. He was limited in practice on Wednesday and Thursday before sitting out on Friday. Head coach Brandon Staley said that Allen is 50-50 to play on Sunday, and on top of it, the Chargers don't play one of the early games this weekend.

If you decide to roll the dice with Allen in your starting lineup, you need to have an emergency backup plan in place. Quarterback Justin Herbert (ribs) is also questionable, so the fantasy value of all Chargers offensive skill players could drop significantly if Herbert doesn't play. If Allen misses his second straight game, Joshua Palmer and DeAndre Carter would once again see more targets in the passing game.

George Kittle Injury Update

San Francisco 49ers tight end George Kittle (groin) was removed from the injury report this week and will make his season debut on Sunday night against the Denver Broncos in Week 3, according to head coach Kyle Shanahan. Kittle was limited the first two days of the week before being a full-go on Friday.

The last time he faced Denver, Kittle had seven catches for 210 yards and a touchdown in 2018. The 28-year-old will be working with old friend Jimmy Garoppolo, who is now back as the team's starter after Trey Lance suffered a season-ending broken ankle last week. Kittle might need to shake off some rust on Sunday night, but fantasy managers that have him rostered should slide him back into their starting lineups.

Justin Herbert Injury Update

Los Angeles Chargers quarterback Justin Herbert (ribs) is officially listed as questionable to play in Week 3 against the Jacksonville Jaguars. Backup Chase Daniel took first-team repetitions on Friday. Herbert was throwing on Tuesday, did individual drills on Wednesday and was spotted throwing on Thursday, which is great news.

But the biggest question will be how functional the third-year QB will be if he's given the green light to play on Sunday. It's not a long-term injury, but it's a painful one. The plan is for the 24-year-old to work out before Sunday's game to determine if he'll be able to go, which puts fantasy managers in a bind with LA's game coming on the later slate of games this Sunday.

Chris Godwin Injury Update

Tampa Bay Buccaneers wide receiver Chris Godwin (hamstring) and defensive end Akiem Hicks (foot) have been ruled out for Week 3 against the Green Bay Packers after they both missed practice all week. Godwin will miss his second straight game after tweaking his hammy in the season opener.

With Mike Evans suspended this Sunday and Julio Jones (knee) also a game-time decision, quarterback Tom Brady could be down to Russell Gage, Breshad Perriman and Scotty Miller as his top three receiving targets against Green Bay. Because Godwin has yet to practice since his injury in Week 1, fantasy managers should already be considering him questionable to play in a Week 4 showdown against the Kansas City Chiefs.

Hunter Renfrow Injury Update

Las Vegas Raiders wide receiver Hunter Renfrow (concussion) has officially been ruled out for Week 3 against the Tennessee Titans. Remove him from your starting fantasy lineups right now. Renfrow's absence will mean more targets for No. 1 receiver Davante Adams and tight end Darren Waller.

Mack Hollins should have an expanded role on the outside across from Adams as well, making him worth a look as a deep-league flex play. In the slot with Renfrow out, expect Keelan Cole and Tyron Johnson to fight for targets down the seam. Renfrow will be trying to clear the league's concussion protocol next week before a divisional matchup with the Denver Broncos.

Christian McCaffrey Injury Update

Carolina Panthers running back Christian McCaffrey (ankle), who dealt with some ankle stiffness earlier in the week, has been removed from the Week 3 injury report and will play on Sunday against the New Orleans Saints. McCaffrey was limited in practice on Thursday, but he should be fine for this weekend's action.

The 26-year-old oft-injured back played 91 percent of the offensive snaps in the Week 2 loss to the New York Giants and ran for 102 yards on 15 carries, adding 26 yards on four receptions. He'll face a Saints D that has allowed 136.5 rushing yards per game through two contests so far in 2022. As long as he's active, CMC will continue to be a must-start RB1 for fantasy managers.

Rondale Moore Injury Update

Arizona Cardinals wide receiver Rondale Moore (hamstring) has been ruled out for Week 3 against the Los Angeles Rams. Moore hasn't played yet this season, but head coach Kliff Kingsbury is optimistic they will be getting their speedy wide receiver back "within the next two weeks."

In his absence, Greg Dortch will continue to occupy the slot receiver role. He's seen 13 targets through two games but figures to be behind Marquise Brown and Zach Ertz for looks from quarterback Kyler Murray. Still, Dortch has upside as a FLEX option for as long as Moore remains out of action.

Harrison Butker Injury Update

Kansas City Chiefs kicker Harrison Butker (ankle) has been ruled out for Week 3 against the Indianapolis Colts. Butker made his only field goal attempt and four extra points in Week 1 but has now been held out of action for two straight games.

In his absence, Matt Ammendola will kick for the Chiefs again after making his debut with his new team in Week 2 against the Chargers. Ammendola made both of his field goal attempts and three extra points, so he looks like a reliable starting option for fantasy managers who will be without Butker.

Devin Duvernay Injury Update

Baltimore Ravens wide receiver Devin Duvernay (concussion) has been cleared to play in Week 3 after suffering a concussion in Week 2 against the Dolphins. The speedster started off his last game with a 103-yard kick return touchdown and caught both of his targets for 42 yards.

After scoring two touchdowns in Week 1, Duvernay is establishing himself as an important piece of this Baltimore offense, meaning he could find himself as a deep league FLEX option this week. He is third in line for targets behind Mark Andrews and Rashod Bateman, but the 25-year-old has been able to produce despite this.
