Brandon Aiyuk Has Been The Star Of Training Camp
San Francisco 49ers wide receiver Brandon Aiyuk has been the most impressive player at training camp, according to his teammates. Jimmie Ward says the third-year wideout is "having the best camp out of everyone on the team." The former Arizona State star had an outstanding rookie season, followed up by a mediocre sophomore year where he struggled at times. Now, the 24-year-old looks like he has taken that next step to be a go-to target for the Trey Lance-led offense. Lance has been working with Aiyuk all offseason, and the two have developed a great rapport during their training sessions. There are a lot of mouths to feed in this run-heavy San Francisco offense, as Deebo Samuel and George Kittle will command significant target volume. However, Aiyuk is still well worth a late-round pick. He was the WR20 in fantasy points per game from Week 9 onwards last year after starting the season in the dog house. He has shown he can produce WR2 numbers despite a crowded pass-catching group. If Samuel or Kittle were to miss any time, his fantasy value would skyrocket.
