5 Bargain Basement Hitters - Fantasy Baseball Waiver Wire Pickups For Week 11 (2025)

Drake Baldwin - Fantasy Baseball Rankings, MLB Prospects, Draft Sleepers

Five hot fantasy baseball waiver wire pickups, streamers, and sleepers for Week 11 (2025). Undervalued hitters outperforming their ownership percentage and should be more widely owned.

As we enter June, we have already seen several well-known prospects get the call and be viewed as the top waiver wire claims. This past week, we have seen Roman Anthony and Jacob Misiorowski earn a promotion to the majors. In addition, earlier in the season, several post-hype prospects such as Tyler Soderstrom and Ben Rice were viewed as must-add players.

This week, we will take a look at five under-the-radar players you should be adding in your leagues. If you missed out on some of the top names, don't worry, these players have just as much upside.

Which players who are widely available should be added to our roster this week? Let's dive in!

Be sure to check all of our fantasy baseball lineup tools and resources:

Marcelo Mayer, SS/3B - Boston Red Sox

15% rostered

The No. 2-ranked prospect in the Boston system was overshadowed to begin the season, as fellow infield teammate Kristian Campbell was able to crack the Opening Day roster. As a result, he was sent to Triple-A Worcester, alongside fellow prospect outfielder Roman Anthony.

In 2024, Mayer appeared in 77 games at Double-A before dealing with hip and back injuries. He was initially promoted to Triple-A but was never able to take the field.

He made his Triple-A debut at the start of this season and performed quite well before getting the call to Boston. Across 43 contests, the infielder held a .271/.347/.471 slash line with five doubles, one triple, nine home runs, and a 38:20 K:BB. During this stretch, he tallied 43 RBI and scored 31 runs.

However, during his first 13 games in the majors, he has held a modest .243/.317/.405 line with three doubles and a home run, which is likely the reason why fantasy managers have not run to the waiver wire to pick him up. However, he is beginning to turn the corner on his slow start and is now seeing everyday at-bats.

During his first 12 games in the majors, he only appeared in eight and held a 200 AVG over this stretch. However, over his last five, he has started in each and posted a strong .429/.556/1.000 line.

With Alex Bregman (quadriceps) still on the IL and expected to remain out for the foreseeable future, Mayer should remain locked in to the starting nine. If needing an infielder (with both MI and CI eligibility), Mayer is a must-add this week.

Drake Baldwin, C - Atlanta Braves

15% rostered

It's time to start treating Drake Baldwin as a No. 1 catcher. The young backstop has done nothing but impress, but is available in more than 80% of fantasy leagues on Yahoo!

Through 43 games, Baldwin has posted a .302/.353/.500 slash line with four doubles, seven home runs, and a 21:10 K:BB. He has tallied 18 RBI and scored 14 runs. He opened the season as the starting catcher in Atlanta with Sean Murphy sliding with a fractured rib.

However, when Murphy returned, the two have typically begun to share opportunities behind the dish, as Marcell Ozuna is the everyday DH. As a result, both Baldwin and Murphy's ceilings are quite limited, but that does not mean they should be available on the waiver wire.

Baldwin boasts impressive metrics that suggest he could become a star if he were to begin to see the lion's share of opportunities. He has generated a .370 xwOBA, .303 xBA, and a .506 xSLG, which suggests his impressive slash line is not a fluke. He has drawn walks at a 7.4% rate and only struck out at a 15.4% rate.

If you lost Shea Langeliers (oblique) or are losing patience with the struggling J.T. Realmuto and Salvador Perez, stash Baldwin on your bench before it's too late. The playing time is frustrating, but even with the limited plate appearances, Baldwin is still performing at the level of a No. 1 catcher.

Jo Adell, OF - Los Angeles Angels

14% rostered

The former 10th overall pick has been a frustrating fantasy asset throughout his MLB career. At times, Adell has flashed elite power and speed upside, but that often came with a hefty strikeout rate and subpar batting average.

Last season, Adell enjoyed a remarkable start, posting .327/.329/.615 lines with four home runs and five stolen bases in April. However, from May 1 on, Adell would post a .190/.266/.368 line with 16 home runs and 10 stolen bases in 107 games.

Through 58 games this season, Adell has held an uninspiring .226/.297/.469 line with 12 long balls and two stolen bases. He has been especially impressive as of late, posting a .333/.407/.750 line with two doubles and six home runs over his last 15 games.

Is his current hot streak sustainable?

A look under the hood should have fascinated managers intrigued, as the 26-year-old has generated a .374 xwOBA with a .271 xBA and a .538 xSLG. All these numbers suggest this survey should continue throughout the summer. In addition, Adell sits in the 99th percentile in batting speed and 79th and 77th in barrel rate and hard-hit rate, respectively.

His xBA is 50 points higher and his xSLG is 120 points higher in comparison to 2024, suggesting he is making strides at the plate.

Fantasy managers in five-outfielder leagues should be adding Adell to their bench before this breakout campaign continues. This may be your last week to get him without spending much of your FAAB budget.

Kyle Teel, C - Chicago White Sox

10% rostered

Our second budding backstop on this list is Kyle Teel of the White Sox. Teel got the call to the majors on June 6. Over his first three games, Teel has started in each of them, caught twice behind the plate and once as a DH. Over this stretch, Teel has gone 3-for-8 with a 2:2 K:BB.

It is promising to see not only Teel take over starting tackle duties from Edgar Quero, but also see time as a DH.

Earlier this season at Triple-A, the No. 28-ranked prospect in baseball was one of the most productive hitters at the level and established himself as one of the top catching prospects in baseball. Across 50 games with Charlotte, Teel held a .295/.394/.492 slash line with 10 doubles and eight home runs.

During his first taste of Triple-A last season (with Worcester), Teel posted a much lower .255/.374/.343 line.

Given his high power upside and clear path to everyday at-bats, Teel is a top waiver wire option, especially if you need a catcher.

Mike Tauchman, OF - Chicago White Sox

7% rostered

The final player to take a look at is another relatively underowned White Sox player, Mike Tauchman. Tauchman has already had two stints on the 10-day IL due to hamstring strains, but when on the field, he has been one of the few bright spots in the Chicago offense.

Through 19 games, Tauchman has posted a .288/.415/.530 slash line with three round-trippers. Over his last 12, he has held a .302/.426/.605 slash line with five doubles, one triple, two home runs, and an impressive 11:10 K:BB.

Tauchman spent the entire 2023 and 2024 campaigns on the North Side of Chicago with the Cubs. During this stint there, he also showed a strong eye at the plate, holding a 156:103 K:BB with a .360 OBP. He held a 250 AVG with a .732 OPS.

The 34-year-old has continued to draw walks at an elite rate this season (18.3%), which should keep him in the leadoff spot in the lineup.

While his power is hard to trust, given his strong on-base skills, fantasy managers looking to add to their run total (14 runs in 19 games) with a solid batting average (.277 xBA) should target Tauchman on waivers. While he does not hold the same power and speed upside down as Adell does, he has a much higher floor.

Fantasy managers in OBP formats or points leagues should put Tauchman above Adell on their waiver claim.
