Georgia wide receiver Ladd McConkey had an outstanding college career. While he was never a touchdown machine, the star wide receiver played a critical role in Georgia’s success the past few years.
McConkey had 119 receptions for 1,687 receiving yards and 14 touchdowns in 39 career games at Georgia. He was the team’s second-best receiving over the past few years, ranking only behind superstar tight end Brock Bowers in most receiving categories.
Where could McConkey go in the 2024 NFL Draft? Let’s dive into it.

What Is Ladd McConkey’s Draft Range?
The 2024 NFL Draft class is extremely deep at the wide receiver position. The most wide receivers picked in the first round of an NFL Draft was seven in 2004. However, that record could get broken this year, as there might be eight or nine first-round wide receivers.
McConkey is in the first-round mix. He won’t be a top-five wide receiver drafted, as Marvin Harrison Jr., Malik Nabers, and Rome Odunze are top-10 locks. Meanwhile, the former Georgia star won’t get picked ahead of Brian Thomas Jr. or Adonai Mitchell. However, McConkey is a difference maker who can play in the slot and out wide. He could come off the board as early as 20th overall to the Pittsburgh Steelers.

Yet, the NFL Draft is always full of surprises. The former Georgia star could slip into the second round of the NFL Draft. His floor is likely the Washington Commanders with the 40th overall pick in the second round.
Which Teams Could Draft Ladd McConkey?
Earlier today, the Buffalo Bills traded Stefon Diggs to the Houston Texans, creating a massive need at the wide receiver position. McConkey said he has met with the Bills a couple of times already, making him a potential target for them with the 28th overall pick.

However, the receiver could be off the board before Buffalo can draft him. The Miami Dolphins (21st overall), Philadelphia Eagles (22nd), Dallas Cowboys (24th), Tampa Bay Buccaneers (26th), and Arizona Cardinals (27th) could pick McConkey.
Fantasy players should hope the former Georgia star lands with the Buffalo Bills or the Los Angeles Chargers at the top of the second round. Both teams have an elite quarterback but lack a clear-cut No. 1 wide receiver on the roster. McConkey could be a WR2 in fantasy if drafted by either team.
