Below are some fantasy football outlooks written by our NFL team here at RotoBaller, bringing you their fantasy football analysis and advice on which players to consider starting in Week 4:
Quentin Johnston, WR, Los Angeles Chargers
A lot of fantasy managers probably thought that Los Angeles Chargers wide receiver Quentin Johnston's two-touchdown performance in the Week 1 win over the Kansas City Chiefs was an outlier, but then he went for 71 yards and a third TD on the year in the Week 2 victory over the Las Vegas Raiders.
In the 23-20 Week 3 win over the Denver Broncos, the former first-rounder caught six of his 10 targets for a team-high 89 yards, although he didn't find the end zone. His 10 targets were second to only Keenan Allen's 11, and the third-year wideout has made it clear that his Week 1 performance wasn't a fluke.
Through three weeks, Johnston leads the Bolts with 239 receiving yards and is tied with Allen with three touchdowns while catching 14 of his 24 targets. If Johnston is still available in your league, pick him up immediately. He's currently rostered in 69% of Yahoo leagues.
Jordan Mason, RB, Minnesota Vikings
Minnesota Vikings running back Jordan Mason made his first start in place of Aaron Jones Sr. (hamstring) during Sunday's game against the Cincinnati Bengals. The Vikings said they planned to heavily involve Mason in the game plan, which they certainly did.
Mason rushed 16 times for 116 yards and two touchdowns in the blowout victory. He wasn't targeted in the passing game, which is a bit of a concern going forward. However, Mason is going to be just fine if he continues to rush the ball like that. He'll get a tougher matchup next week against the Pittsburgh Steelers.
The veteran power-back, Jordan Mason, remains the primary bell cow going forward, so fantasy managers should consider him a low-end RB1 for Week 4 versus the Steelers.
Jauan Jennings, WR, San Francisco 49ers
San Francisco 49ers wide receiver Jauan Jennings (ankle/shoulder) is considered day-to-day heading into Week 4. Jennings played through a shoulder issue in Week 2, posting five catches for 89 yards and a touchdown, but he did not practice ahead of Week 3 and was ultimately ruled out.
If Jennings remains sidelined, second-year wideout Ricky Pearsall should see a boost in targets, especially with quarterback Brock Purdy trending toward a return this week. The matchup sets up well, as Jacksonville's secondary has struggled early in 2025.
The 2024 breakout receiver's status will need monitoring, but if active, Jauan Jennings profiles as a flex option in most fantasy formats against the Jaguars.
Michael Pittman Jr., WR, Indianapolis Colts
Indianapolis Colts wide receiver Michael Pittman Jr. had a solid performance in Week 3, catching all six of his targets for 73 yards and a touchdown in the Colts' 41-20 win over the Tennessee Titans.
Pittman Jr. led the team in catches, yards, and targets, even on a day when running back Jonathan Taylor stole the spotlight with three touchdowns. The veteran wide receiver has been a consistent target for quarterback Daniel Jones, accumulating nearly 200 yards and two touchdowns through three games this season.
If he remains a red-zone target, he should be a reliable WR3 with WR2 upside moving forward.
J.K. Dobbins, RB, Denver Broncos
Denver Broncos running back J.K. Dobbins delivered a solid performance in Week 3 despite his team's last-second 23-20 loss to the Los Angeles Chargers. Dobbins was effective on the ground, rushing for 83 yards and a touchdown on 11 carries, including a 41-yard run that helped set up his score.
He also recorded one catch for zero yards. After three games, Dobbins has been highly productive, averaging 5.4 yards per carry with over 220 rushing yards and three touchdowns.
He seems to be secured as the lead back and is likely to continue seeing a significant workload as rookie R.J. Harvey struggles to find his rhythm. Dobbins can be viewed as a reliable RB2 option moving forward.
