Fantasy Football Matchup Outlooks
Below are some fantasy football outlooks written by our NFL team here at RotoBaller, bringing you their fantasy football analysis and advice on which players to consider starting in Week 18:
D'Andre Swift, RB, Chicago Bears
Chicago Bears running back D'Andre Swift recorded nine carries for 54 yards and two touchdowns to go with two catches (three targets) for 25 yards in Sunday night's 42-38 loss to the San Francisco 49ers. Swift notched his second multi-touchdown game of the season, with the other coming two weeks ago against the Browns in Week 15.
The 26-year-old totalled only nine carries in the game, his fewest since Week 12, but he's remained a super steady contributor in the Bears' lethal rushing attack, notching at least 50 rushing yards in six of the last seven games. While his pass-catching ability hasn't been a major part of his fantasy profile this season, it remains a strength of his game, with his 25 receiving yards on Sunday night marking his highest total since Week 8. Swift will continue to be an integral part of the Bears' offense when he faces his former team, the Detroit Lions, in Week 18.
Justin Jefferson, WR, Minnesota Vikings
Through 16 games, Minnesota Vikings wide receiver Justin Jefferson has had the least productive season of his career. The 26-year-old has recorded 76 receptions for 947 yards and two touchdowns on 130 targets. Inconsistent quarterback play in Minnesota has been the biggest problem for Jefferson in 2025. The Vikings may get QB1 J.J. McCarthy (hand) back from the hand injury that sidelined him in Week 17 for their Week 18 matchup against the Green Bay Packers.
However, Jefferson has recorded just 19 catches for 227 yards and zero touchdowns across McCarthy's last five starts. While Jefferson remains one of the most talented pass-catchers in the NFL, the offensive environment around him in Minnesota this season makes it difficult to trust him for consistent production. Jefferson profiles as a WR3/flex option for fantasy managers in Week 18.
Rome Odunze, WR, Chicago Bears
Chicago Bears wide receiver Rome Odunze (foot) remained sidelined from his team's practice on Thursday as he battles a stress fracture in his foot. The 23-year-old has not played since Week 13, and it appears he could be trending towards missing a fifth straight game in Week 18 against the Detroit Lions. Across 12 games before getting injured, Odunze had recorded 44 catches for 661 yards and six touchdowns on 90 targets.
In his absence, Bears rookie wideout Luther Burden III (quad) has emerged as a key contributor in the Chicago passing game. Veteran wide receiver DJ Moore has also seen his role increase, recording three of his six touchdown receptions this season in the last three weeks. The Bears have already locked up the NFC North crown and will be either the number two or number three seed in the NFC playoffs, so the team has little incentive to rush Odunze back for its regular-season finale.
