Fantasy Football Matchup Outlooks

Below are some fantasy football outlooks written by our NFL team here at RotoBaller, bringing you their fantasy football analysis and advice on which players to consider starting in Week 18:

Samaje Perine, RB, Cincinnati Bengals

Cincinnati Bengals running back Samaje Perine has finished as a low-end RB2 in each of the past two weeks without cracking a 40% snap share. If the Bengals opt to rest or limit their starters, including the surging Chase Brown, Perine could be in line for a solid workload in a Week 18 matchup against the Browns with nothing but divisional pride on the line.

Even if Perine maintains only his usual change of pace and mop-up duties, he has enough of a floor to keep him in consideration for a flex role against a Cleveland defense that just allowed 131 yards on the ground to a Steelers offense with no threat of a passing attack. Readily available on most waiver wires, Perine should be a top priority in any league with a Week 18 title game.

Amon-Ra St. Brown, WR, Detroit Lions

Detroit Lions wide receiver Amon-Ra St. Brown (knee) is considered day-to-day with his knee injury for the Week 18 regular-season finale this Sunday versus the division-rival Chicago Bears, according to Eric Woodyard of ESPN. St. Brown has been dealing with irritation in his knee, but he played through it in the Christmas Day loss to the Minnesota Vikings that eliminated the team from postseason contention. The 26-year-old caught eight of his 13 targets for 68 yards on a day in which Detroit's offense could hardly move the ball at all.

The Lions don't have anything left to play for but pride this weekend, which means they probably won't push St. Brown to play if he's not 100 percent. As of right now, it sounds like St. Brown will be ready to play, but fantasy managers who have something still on the line will want to keep a close eye on his practice status throughout the week. Rookie Isaac TeSlaa had another touchdown last Thursday and would benefit even more if St. Brown sits out the season finale.

Jalen McMillan, WR, Tampa Bay Buccaneers

Tampa Bay Buccaneers wide receiver Jalen McMillan exploded for seven catches and 114 yards in the team's 20-17 loss to the Miami Dolphins in Week 17. The 24-year-old's target (nine) and yardage totals were team-highs, setting personal bests across the board. Coincidentally, McMillan did not see a significant rise in snap share, hovering around the same figure he's recorded since returning from an injury.

Regardless, he and Chris Godwin Jr. were the only other pass-catchers to eclipse 40 receiving yards (108). With a myriad of mouths to feed in Tampa Bay's attack, it's unlikely McMillan would have another performance such as this when they square off with the Panthers in Week 18. That said, he sports solid athleticism and offers fantasy managers big-play ability for one of the few meaningful games in the campaign's final week.

Marvin Mims Jr., WR, Denver Broncos

Across 14 games in 2025, Denver Broncos wide receiver Marvin Mims Jr. has recorded 35 receptions for 312 yards and a touchdown on 48 targets. Mims Jr. has struggled to carve out a consistent role in the Denver offense for most of the season to this point. However, the 23-year-old played 47% of the Broncos' offensive snaps in Week 17, his highest snap share in any game since Week 1. He's also earned 13 targets over the last three weeks after seeing just four targets across four games played from Week 8 to Week 14.

With Denver wideout Pat Bryant (concussion) battling a concussion, Mims Jr. could see his increased usage continue in Week 18 against the Los Angeles Chargers. Mims Jr. is also one of the NFL's most explosive big-play threats in the open field, so he's a threat to turn even a small number of touches into big production. His stock could be on the rise heading into Week 18.
