Fantasy Football Matchup Outlooks
Below are some fantasy football outlooks written by our NFL team here at RotoBaller, bringing you their fantasy football analysis and advice on which players to consider starting in Week 17:
Ladd McConkey, WR, Los Angeles Chargers
However, Week 17 presents a dramatically tougher matchup against the Houston Texans, who boast one of the league's most suffocating pass defenses. Houston ranks near the top in EPA per pass, completion percentage allowed, interception rate, pressure rate, and total yards allowed. With the Texans generating consistent pressure and limiting downfield opportunities, McConkey may be limited to short-area targets and modest volume, making him a volatile WR3 rather than a dependable fantasy starter.
Tee Higgins, WR, Cincinnati Bengals
The 26-year-old wideout has put together a fantastic season, totalling 49 catches (84 targets) for 720 yards and 10 touchdowns in 13 games. His 10 touchdowns have matched a career high with two games remaining. He'll project favorably again for another potential shootout next week against the Arizona Cardinals.
Nico Collins, WR, Houston Texans
He remains the Texans' go-to option and should be poised to bounce back with better totals next week when Houston's offense will have to be more aggressive against the Chargers.
Quentin Johnston, WR, Los Angeles Chargers
The 24-year-old has been inconsistent over the last few months. This time, Johnston excelled as he posted his first 100-yard performance of the season. He'll draw a tough matchup against the Houston Texans' defense next week. His deep threat ability will certainly keep him on the fantasy radar in Week 17.
Jerry Jeudy, WR, Cleveland Browns
On paper, Jeudy does have a decent matchup against the Pittsburgh Steelers in Week 17. The 26-year-old just hasn't done enough lately to give fantasy managers in all leagues any confidence in him, especially with everything on the line in a championship matchup in most leagues in Week 17.
Rome Odunze, WR, Chicago Bears
Across 12 games in 2025, the 23-year-old has recorded 44 receptions for 661 yards and six touchdowns on 90 targets. Chicago was also without rookie wideout Luther Burden III (ankle) in Week 16, leaving the team thin at wide receiver. If Odunze remains sidelined in Week 17, veteran wideout DJ Moore profiles as the team's clear number one pass-catcher, and wide receivers Olamide Zaccheaus and Jahdae Walker could both see increased playing time.
