Fantasy Football Matchup Outlooks
Below are some fantasy football outlooks written by our NFL team here at RotoBaller, bringing you their fantasy football analysis and advice on which players to consider starting in Week 11:
RJ Harvey, RB, Broncos
Denver Broncos head coach Sean Payton said that rookie second-round running back RJ Harvey will "have a bigger role this week," according to Zac Stevens of DNVR Sports. "He'll have more opportunities in this game. He's built to last, and that's important," Payton added. Lead back J.K. Dobbins suffered a foot injury late in last Thursday's 10-7 win over the Las Vegas Raiders, and the Broncos are considering placing him on Injured Reserve, which would sideline him for at least four games.
Denver doesn't have a great matchup against the division-rival Kansas City Chiefs, who are coming off their bye, this Sunday, but Harvey's increased volume alone will give him RB2 upside in fantasy football in Week 11. With Dobbins likely out this weekend, Tyler Badie should jump up into the RB2 role, with Jaleel McLaughlin probably being active as the No. 3.
Tez Johnson, WR, Buccaneers
Tampa Bay Buccaneers rookie wide receiver Tez Johnson hauled in four of five targets for 42 yards and two touchdowns in the team's 28-23 loss to the New England Patriots. Since Mike Evans (collarbone) went down, Johnson has emerged as a key piece of the Buccaneers' passing attack, recording at least 40 yards in every game since the injury, and scoring four touchdowns over his last four contests.
The rookie from Oregon is averaging 14.2 fantasy points per game since Week 6, ranking 20th among wide receivers during that stretch. With Evans, Chris Godwin, and Jalen McMillan all sidelined, Johnson should remain a featured target for Baker Mayfield moving forward.
Chimere Dike, WR, Titans
Before his team's Week 10 bye, Tennessee Titans rookie wide receiver Chimere Dike appeared to be working his way into a larger role in the offense. In his final three games before the bye, Dike recorded 12 catches for 168 yards and a touchdown on 15 targets. The 24-year-old also played 89% and 87% of Tennessee's offensive snaps in their final two games before the bye.
The Titans could be getting veteran wide receiver Calvin Ridley (hamstring) back from a hamstring injury in Week 11 against the Houston Texans, which could definitely impact Dike's playing time. Still, the 1-8 Titans have every reason to lean into their youth and see what they have in Dike. In fantasy leagues with 14 or more teams, Dike should be a waiver-wire target.
Woody Marks, RB, Texans
Houston Texans running back Woody Marks has continued to play in a larger role in the team's timeshare in recent weeks, and he found the end zone again on Sunday against the Jaguars. Marks took 14 carries for 53 yards and a touchdown while also adding two catches for 18 more yards. Nick Chubb only had five carries but managed 47 yards. Marks has done most of the work on passing downs and played a season-high 80% of snaps in Week 10, since he team played from behind against the Jaguars.
Marks will continue to share time with Chubb going forward, including in Week 11 against the Titans. If the Texans play from ahead, Chubb could get more of an even split, but Marks still has a very high ceiling in the favorable matchup against Tennessee and is a great addition if he's still on the waiver wire in your leagues.
