Who should I start for Week 16? Fantasy football outlooks for the Falcons D/ST, Packers D/ST, Colts D/ST. Our expert fantasy football start 'em, sit 'em picks.
Fantasy players everywhere are vying for a spot in their league’s championship game. With so much at stake, every lineup decision is more important than ever.
An area gamers often focus on is which D/ST they should start. Sometimes managers can get so consumed with keeping one D/ST on their roster that they overlook other options that could have been more beneficial.
Several D/ST streaming options that gamers should consider starting in Week 16 are the Atlanta Falcons, Green Bay Packers, and the Indianapolis Colts. There’s a case to be made for each team, so let’s break down what to expect from each unit in Week 16.
Should I Start Atlanta Falcons D/ST for Fantasy Football?
The Falcons' defense has not been among the league’s best this year, but their pass rush has started to catch fire. Atlanta has 13 sacks and forced four turnovers in their last three games.

Despite the relative lack of talent on the defensive side of the ball, Atlanta has found a way to score fantasy points. They get another fantastic matchup this week as they face a New York Giants team that ranks towards the bottom of most offensive categories. New York’s offense has been a train wreck all season, and they’ve allowed the seventh most sacks in the league. This is another great spot to start the Falcons defense, and they are a quality DST streaming option for this week.
Should I Start Green Bay Packers D/ST for Fantasy Football?
The Packers are fresh off a dominant defensive performance against the Seattle Seahawks where they sacked Seattle quarterbacks seven times and forced two interceptions.

They now return home to host the New Orleans Saints. Green Bay should handle this Saints team with relative ease. They’re going against a rookie quarterback who could be without his top running back and top wide receiver. The Packers are arguably the top DST play this week and should be started in all leagues.
Should I Start Indianapolis Colts D/ST for Fantasy Football?
Indianapolis has a divisional showdown against the Tennessee Titans. Tennessee’s offense has struggled all year and only ranks 31st in offensive DVOA per FTN Fantasy. The Colts defense hasn’t been good, but they are capable of exploiting a good matchup against a bad offense here.
This would have been a better spot to play Indianapolis if Tennessee were starting Will Levis. But the team opted to bench him in favor of Mason Rudolph. Rudolph isn’t exactly John Elway, though, and Indianapolis’ DST can still find success in this game. However, the Colts are probably the least preferred option of the three teams listed in this article.
