Chase Burns Prospect Update for Fantasy Baseball
Since being promoted to Triple-A, Burns has made two starts and has looked quite impressive. In his most recent outing on June 18, Burns tossed seven innings of one-run ball with three hits and no walks against Scranton/Wilkes-Barre. In this outing, Burns struck out an eye-catching seven batters.
In his first outing at Triple-A, he tossed 5 1/3 innings of two-run ball with seven punchouts against the Iowa Cubs.
Given his quick adjustment to Triple-A, the former No. 2 overall pick has already proven he is ready to join Cincinnati.
We guarantee that Chase Burns outperforms at least one—if not several—starting pitchers on every major league roster.

With Hunter Greene (groin) still on the 15-day IL, the Reds will need a spark to their rotation, especially if they remain in the Wild Card race.
On Saturday evening, the Reds announced that they will be promoting Burns to make his MLB debut on Tuesday evening against the New York Yankees. He is a must-add and must-start leading up to this game.
