Top 250 Dynasty Fantasy Baseball Prospects Rankings (2024 Update)

Jordan Lawlar - Fantasy Baseball Prospects, Draft Sleepers, MLB Rookies

Benjamin's updated top 250 fantasy baseball prospects rankings (dynasty) as of 2024. MLB prospect rankings for fantasy baseball dynasty leagues.

Welcome back RotoBallers to the 2024 update of our MLB team's dynasty fantasy baseball prospects rankings for the 2024 season.

This update includes a few changes/additions. First, while they may not be considered "prospects" in many leagues, foreign signees from Japanese or Korean professional leagues will be eligible in first-year player drafts, so they are viewed as prospects at this time. As soon as they meet rookie minimums, they will be removed from this list.

On the lines of "criteria" is the next change, as a whole host of players qualified through time spent in the major leagues to no longer be considered rookies, thus bumping them from this list. The final update is that all ages have been adjusted to the player's age as of Opening Day 2024 for consistency purposes. We will revisit this list monthly throughout the offseason with any updates due to offseason trades or player information gathered from fall and winter leagues, so keep checking in each month!

Be sure to check all of our fantasy baseball lineup tools and resources:

MLB Prospect Dynasty Rankings - 2024 Update

These fantasy baseball prospect rankings are geared towards dynasty leagues, which are looking at longer-term impacts for fantasy baseball. Proximity is weighed into the rankings, so a player who has reached the major leagues already or should figure prominently into his team's 2024 plans will get a nod above a similarly-valued player who is multiple years away from the majors.

Make sure to check out all of RotoBaller's dynasty baseball coverage!

Who's Hot, Who's Not

The offseason is an excellent time to do some evaluations on players that you didn't have the chance to see during the regular season. In doing that, a number of players have bumped up, but one that wasn't even on November's edition (despite having put forth some impressive numbers in the Arizona Fall League at the time) was Jakob Marsee.

The Padres outfielder jumps all the way to No. 95 on the list, but the more views I get, the more that I really like what he can bring to the table for a major league club. The Padres also traded away a big piece in the corner infield (as well as their primary fourth outfielder) to the Yankees, so there could be some playing time in San Diego by year's end if he can show consistency in his performance from 2023 into 2024.

The Chicago Cubs hate Matt Mervis. Okay, to be more accurate, Mervis was given instruction to work on a particular approach at the plate in order to earn a return trip to the majors after he struggled in a brief debut in 2023. Mervis hasn't done much to change his approach, and the Cubs have seemingly decided that they're going to put stock in other options as they've been pursuing a number of options to fill first base and DH. This is essentially blocking Mervis' path to competing for a starting role on the 2024 Cubs.
