10 World Series Bold Predictions
After a long summer, the World Series is finally set. The top-seeded Toronto Blue Jays will take on the reigning champions, the Los Angeles Dodgers. With the World Series beginning on Friday evening, let’s make 10 BOLD PREDICTIONS for the Fall Classic.
No. 10 - Dodgers Role Players Outperform Stars
The Dodgers enter the World Series with a dominant top half of the lineup led by Shohei Ohtani, Freddie Freeman, and Mookie Betts, who have performed at an elite level in the postseason before. However, do not be surprised if some of the bottom of the lineup emerge as the difference makers. Center fielder Andy Pages has a low .289 OPS in the postseason but is coming off a career year in which he held a .774 OPS.
Enrique “Kike” Hernandez is also name to monitor, as he posted a stellar .304/.375/.417 line in the postseason last year.

No. 9 - Trey Yesavage Leads World Series in Strikeouts
Trey Yesavage made his MLB debut in the second half and immediately became a contributor. Through his first three starts, the top prospect in Toronto posted a 3.21 ERA with 16 punchouts across 14 innings. Yesavage racked up 11 punchouts against the New York Yankees in his postseason debut.
In his most recent outing on the 29th, Yesavage struck out seven Mariners en route to winning Game 6. The budding ace could be Toronto’s most valuable pitcher.
No. 8 - The Dodgers Sweep the Blue Jays
The Los Angeles Dodgers stormed past the Milwaukee Brewers in the NLCS, defeating them in four games. Despite entering the World Series as the lower seed, the Dodgers are built to repeat as world champions and could do so in a demanding fashion.
With a strong pitching staff and a lineup filled with potent hitters, the Dodgers are in a prime position to quickly take care of the Blue Jays, who are coming off an emotional seven-game series against the Mariners.
No. 7 - Vladimir Guerrero Jr. Breaks World Series HR Record
Vladimir Guerrero Jr. enters the World Series with an impressive six long balls and could put his name in the record books, given how hard he is swinging his bat. Throughout history, three players (Chase Utley, George Springer, and Reggie Jackson) have each hit five home runs in a single World Series, which is tied for the most in the game’s history.
Toronto’s franchise player could flirt with history if this series can go the distance. He has tallied multiple hits in six playoff games and has only gone hitless twice.
No. 6 - Bo Bichette Leads Toronto in Hits
Bo Bichette has been sidelined since September due to a knee injury. However, following their Game 7 victory over the Mariners, the team reported that their star shortstop will be ready to return for the Fall Classic.
The 27-year-old enjoyed a massive bounce-back season in 2025, posting a .311/.357/.483 line with 18 home runs and four stolen bases. Bichette will bring another high-upside bat to the top of the lineup.

No. 5 - Ernie Clement Continues Postseason Surge
Blue Jays utility infielder Ernie Clement enjoyed a productive regular season, posting a .277/.313/.398 line, but has taken his play to another level in October. Through 11 postseason games, Clement has posted a remarkable .429/.444/.619 line with three doubles, one home run, and a 2:1 K:BB.
While his power output is not high, Clement could be called on to deliver a clutch hit batting in the heart of the game. If Clement can continue to hit for his elite average, the Blue Jays could be in a great position to win the World Series.
No. 4 - George Springer Caps Off Dominant Season with Second World Series MVP
George Springer won the World Series MVP in 2017 and appears prime to do so again in 2025. In Game 7 of the ALCS, Springer delivered a massive three-run shot that put the Blue Jays ahead. Through 11 games in the postseason, Springer has launched four long balls and posted a .930 OPS.
During the regular season, Springer bounced back in a big way, putting up an elite .309/.399/.560 line with 32 home runs, which was a stark increase from the .220/.303/.371 line he held in 2024. Expect him to cap off his season with a final legendary curtain call.
No. 3 - Roki Sasaki is the Most Valuable Pitcher for the Dodgers
Roki Sasaki signed a massive contract with the Dodgers in the winter and was expected to serve a lead role in their starting rotation. However, after a slow start and injuries, Saski found himself in the bullpen late in the regular season.
In the playoffs, Sasaki has become a reliable high-leverage option, tossing eight innings to the tune of a stellar 1.13 ERA and a 0.63 WHIP. He has struck out six hitters and tallied three saves. Sasaki will be called on to face Springer, Guerrero, and Bichette in the late innings of this series.
No. 2 - Shohei Ohtani Tosses a No-Hitter
While Shohei Ohtani’s three-home run performance in Game 4 of the NLCS stole every headline, let’s take a look at what he can do on the bump. Ohtani has tossed 12 innings with a 2.25 ERA and a strong 0.75 WHIP through two postseason starts. He has allowed just four walks and struck out 19 hitters.
Ohtani led the Dodgers to the World Series in 2024 with his bat. Now, he will do so on the mound. If he hasn’t already become one of the great players in the game’s history, expect him to secure his spot in Cooperstown after this series.
No. 1 - Freddie Freeman Wins Back-to-Back MVPs
In their World Series victory over the New York Yankees last fall, Freddie Freeman led the way, posting a .300 AVG with four home runs and 12 RBI to take home the MVP trophy. While Ohtani and Guerrero are the favorites to win this title on their teams, do not be surprised when Freeman leads the way.
In the postseason, Freeman has been quiet, hitting a low .231/.333/.410 length with a .743 OPS. However, given his lengthy history of clutch performances, expect Freeman to flip the script on the game’s big stage.
