ANALYSIS: The good thing about being a low-maintenance guy is that no matter what happens around you, you always remain the same. Ask Royce O'Neal after he saw all of Kyrie Irving, Ben Simmons, Cam Thomas, etc... miss games here and there while he kept playing them all and thriving at what he does best.
O'Neale has played all 20 BK games to date (only Kevin Durant and Patty Mills have done too) and he's just not going anywhere from the starting PF slot. He's logging as many minutes as KD and Kyrie (35/36 MPG) nightly, and although his usage rate sucks (13.9% on the year) he is still contributing fantastic numbers all across the board.
The shooting was rather bad for a month but it feels like it's been fixed of late with RO'N hitting shots at a 50% clip in the last five games (Nov. 17 through Friday). He's scored at least one 3-point shot in all games played this season and he's averaged 3.2 3PM in those last five.
Royce had his first trip-dub a few days ago against Portland when he dropped a 10-10-11 line with a trey and a block hosting a season-high 14 FGA.
Forget about that happening nightly, but consider O'Neale capable of giving you daily 10-5-4 lines with upside for a bit more if all things click for him and he's on fire from beyond the arc on spot-up-shooting duties. Simmons isn't daring to shoot a thing and Kyrie will only boost O'Neal's chances of getting buckets.
