BALLER MOVE: Add in 14+ Team Leagues
ROSTERED IN: 36% of Leagues
ANALYSIS: It feels like I've been hearing about Sammy Watkins' upcoming return for three months already. Yikes. It's cool, guys, it's cool. We know he is (is he, though?) coming, yes, but that doesn't mean he will displace rookie WR Rashod Bateman has he's hit the ground running and although it took him a game to gear up a bit, he's been quite nice in his last two outings only missing on scoring a touchdown in the three games he's already played as a pro.
Watkins was forced out of the gridiron from Week 6 (included) on. Precisely back on W6 Bateman debuted and finished the day with a low 6-4-29 line for 6.9 PPR points. Nothing great, but a start. Then, after two more games, Bateman's average PPR points per game are up to a healthier 9.4 mark thanks to sandwiching Baltimore's Bye week with receiving lines of 6-3-80 and 8-5-52 in the past two Ravens' games respectively. The most encouraging thing on Bateman's game log? The targets going up, and most importantly, the snap share staying at 64%+ in his three games and topping at 64% just this past weekend.
After struggling a bit his first time out (although already on a healthy 6-target diet) Bateman has improved of late and he's put up 10.4+ YPR marks in the last two games he's played. The receptions have gone up, and the 8 targets were fantastic to see happen on Week 9. Bateman is not a WW target for those in shallower leagues because the production isn't quite there yet, but the volume isn't bad. Even with Watkins' eventual return Bateman has done enough to keep getting targets from LaMar and playing to WR3/Flex levels for those in deeper formats. Baltimore has already put its Bye on the rearview mirror, which also helps ROS.
