PrizePicks Over/Under DFS Props Contests
PrizePicks has two types of games. The first type of game is known as Fantasy Score, which consists of selecting various players and trying to determine if they will go over or under their projected fantasy points in a game.
The second game is known as Single Stat. For the MLB, Single Stat consists of pitcher strikeout props in which you determine if the pitcher in question will go over or under their projected strikeout total.
You can mix and match players from different types of games in your entry or select all of your plays from the same type of game. Once you have selected your players and props, you can choose the aforementioned flex play or power play option. Let's see what the board offers today!

Patrick Corbin less than 4.5 strikeouts
Although Corbin is up against a Red Sox team that is posting a K rate north of 27%, this prop still seems a bit high for him. He has failed to reach five strikeouts in each of his previous three starts and has failed to do so in six of his previous 10 starts. This matchup feels eerily similar to the one Tarik Skubal had against Boston back on August 11th where he managed to strike out just three Red Sox across 5 1/3 innings pitched.

Speaking of Skubal, he has a tough matchup against the Guardians, who are only posting a 21.6% K rate vs. left-handers over the previous three weeks. That being said, this K rate should be high enough for Skubal to get more than five strikeouts when you consider the Guardians are pairing it with a ridiculously low 19 wRC+ mark and a walk rate of just 5.6% over that same three-week span. Skubal has eclipsed five strikeouts in three of his seven starts in 2023 and matched it in one other start.
Chris Sale more than 5.5 strikeouts
We are going with a trio of Southpaws in today's article as Chris Sale will be on the mound against the Washington Nationals in a late-afternoon game. While the Nationals are posting a respectable 18% K rate vs. Southpaws over the previous three weeks, there is nothing respectable about this number on Sale. In his 12 starts this season, he has eclipsed this total in all but three of them. He is fresh off of a seven-strikeout performance against the Tigers and should continue to see his pitch count rise starting this afternoon. It should also be noted that this prop is currently set to roughly -130 across the books.
