Ravens Host Nelson Agholor On A Visit
6 mins agoThe Baltimore Ravens hosted free-agent wide receiver Nelson Agholor on a visit. Baltimore's search for more receiving help continues. As things currently stand, Rashod Bateman, Devin Duvernay and James Proche II are their top three wideouts, so the Ravens will certainly add to the position via free agency and/or the upcoming draft in April. Agholor, the former first-round pick of the Philadelphia Eagles in 2015, spent the last two years with the New England Patriots, where he caught 68 of his 117 targets for 835 yards and five touchdowns in 31 games (20 starts). The 29-year-old had only 31 receptions for 362 yards and two scores in 16 games (seven starts) in 2022. A change of scenery to Baltimore would make Agholor slightly more attractive in deeper fantasy leagues, depending on who else the Ravens add at the position.Source: NFL Network - Ian Rapoport
Texans Reach Agreement With Devin Singletary
14 mins agoThe Houston Texans reached an agreement to sign former Buffalo Bills free-agent running back Devin Singletary to an undisclosed deal on Monday, according to a source. Singletary will give the Texans an additional weapon alongside Dameon Pierce, who thoroughly impressed in his rookie season in 2022 before going down with an injury. The 25-year-old has averaged 4.6 yards per carry in each of the last two seasons with the Bills. Singletary totaled 1,099 scrimmage yards last year with Buffalo and added six touchdowns on 215 total touches. He'll serve as a nice complement in Houston's backfield to Pierce, but as long as Pierce stays healthy, Singletary's fantasy upside remain capped.Source: NFL Network - Ian Rapoport
Texans Sign Dalton Schultz To One-Year Deal
24 mins agoThe Houston Texans are signing free-agent tight end Dalton Schultz to a one-year deal worth up to $9 million on Monday, according to sources. Schultz has 198 catches and 17 touchdowns over the last three seasons with the Dallas Cowboys and is only 26 years old. The former fourth-round selection by the Cowboys in 2018 had 57 receptions on 89 targets for 577 yards and five touchdowns in 15 regular season starts in his fifth year in the NFL in 2022. At the most shallow position in fantasy football, Schultz has been a TE1 in Dallas the last few years and will be Houston's primary pass-catching tight end. While he still might be a TE1 in 2023, he'll likely be much more volatile overall with the Texans likely to roll with an inexperienced rookie under center.Source: NFL Network - Tom Pelissero
O.J. Howard Signs With Raiders
2 hours agoFree-agent tight end O.J. Howard signed an undisclosed deal with the Las Vegas Raiders on Monday after visiting with the team. With Darren Waller now in New York and Foster Moreau currently on the open market, Howard joins Jesper Horsted and Cole Fotheringham as the tight ends on roster in Vegas. Howard, a former first-round pick by the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in 2017, could help stretch opposing defenses for the Raiders in 2023. The 28-year-old could have some sleeper potential as a TE2 in fantasy if Moreau doesn't re-sign, but Howard has done very little since his first two years in the NFL. Last year in 13 games (10 starts) for the Houston Texans, he had a career-low 10 receptions for 145 yards and two touchdowns. Howard has only 35 receptions for 426 yards and five touchdowns in the last three years combined.Source: NFL Network - Ian Rapoport
Dolphins Exercise Tua Tagovailoa's Fifth-Year Option
3 hours agoThe Miami Dolphins announced on Monday that they have officially exercised quarterback Tua Tagovailoa's fifth-year option. The move will guarantee him $23.2 million in 2024. It shouldn't come as much of a surprise, though, as the organization has continued to say that Tagovailoa remains in their long-term plans despite the fact that he suffered two documented concussions in 2022. When he was on the field, the 25-year-old had the best season of his young career in head coach Mike McDaniel's offense, completing 64.8 percent of his passes for a career-high 3,548 yards, 25 touchdowns and eight interceptions in 13 starts. With receivers Tyreek Hill and Jaylen Waddle at his disposal, Tagovailoa should be considered an injury-prone, low-end QB1 by fantasy managers.Source: Dolphins Twitter
Titans Finalizing Deal With Sean Murphy-Bunting
3 hours agoThe Tennessee Titans are finalizing a one-year deal worth up to $5 million with free-agent cornerback Sean Murphy-Bunting on Monday, according to sources. Murphy-Bunting is only 25 years old and has already won a Super Bowl with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. In his fourth year in the NFL in 2022, he had 31 tackles (19 solo), two interceptions, seven passes defensed and a forced fumble in 12 games (five starts). Murphy-Bunting should serve in a starting role with his new team in 2023. In his four NFL seasons combined, he has produced 188 tackles (139 solo), one sack, six tackles for loss, six interceptions (one returned for a touchdown), 21 passes defensed, four forced fumbles and a fumble recovery in 53 games (36 starts).Source: The Score - Jordan Schultz
Panthers Rookie QB To See Plenty Of Reps
4 hours agoCarolina Panthers head coach Frank Reich said that their rookie quarterback that will be drafted with the first overall pick is "going to get a lot of reps" to give him a chance to start right away in 2023. This shouldn't come as a huge surprise, as the Panthers gave away the farm to put themselves in position to take the QB they like the most in this year's draft class at No. 1 overall. Carolina also signed veteran signal-caller Andy Dalton in free agency, but they'd prefer if their rookie quarterback earned the starting gig in training camp this summer. The Panthers have also added running back Miles Sanders, receiver Adam Thielen and tight end Hayden Hurst in free agency, which should take some pressure off whichever rookie signal-caller they take in next month's draft.Source: ESPN.com - David Newton
Cowboys Were In On Jerry Jeudy
4 hours agoThe Dallas Cowboys were in on Denver Broncos wide receiver Jerry Jeudy before landing wideout Brandin Cooks from the Houston Texans on Sunday. The Broncos have been seeking a first-rounder in exchange for Jeudy, so the Cowboys gave up a fifth-rounder in this year's draft and a sixth-rounder in 2024 to land Cooks instead. Dallas now has CeeDee Lamb, Cooks and Michael Gallup as their top three receivers heading into the 2023 campaign. Jeudy is expected to remain with the Broncos because of his high price tag. The former first-rounder has underwhelmed in his first three NFL seasons, but he did set career-highs in catches (67), receiving yards (972) and touchdowns (six) in 2022.Source: PFF - Marcus Mosher
Raiders Hosting O.J. Howard For A Visit
4 hours agoThe Las Vegas Raiders are hosting former first-round tight end O.J. Howard for a visit, according to sources. As the Raiders look to replace Darren Waller after they traded him to the New York Giants last week, Howard is a pass-catcher who can help stretch opposing defenses. The former Tampa Bay Buccaneer made 10 starts for the Houston Texans last year and disappointed with a career-low 10 receptions (23 targets) for 145 yards and two touchdowns in 13 total games. There is opportunity at the position in Vegas, as Jesper Horsted and Cole Fotheringham are the only two tight ends currently on the roster. Howard hasn't done much since his first two years in the league with Tampa, when he combined for 60 catches, 997 yards and 11 touchdowns in 24 games (22 starts).Source: NFL Network - Ian Rapoport
Panthers Still Talking With DJ Chark
4 hours agoCarolina Panthers general manager Scott Fitterer said that the team is still talking with free-agent wide receiver DJ Chark, but nothing is resolved yet. Carolina signed former Minnesota Vikings wideout Adam Thielen to a three-year, $25 million deal on Sunday to help replace DJ Moore after they traded him to the Chicago Bears, but apparently the Panthers are still open to adding Chark to bolster their receiving corps. It could still use a boost, as Terrace Marshall Jr. and Laviska Shenault Jr. aren't exactly scaring opposing defenses on game days. Chark had a 1,000-yard season and scored eight touchdowns for the Jacksonville Jaguars in 2019, but he's been limited by injuries over the last three seasons and had 30 catches for 502 yards and three touchdowns in only 11 games for the Detroit Lions in 2022.Source: Panthers.com - Darin Gantt
Bills Sign Trent Sherfield To One-Year Deal
4 hours agoThe Buffalo Bills signed former Miami Dolphins and San Francisco 49ers wide receiver Trent Sherfield to an undisclosed one-year deal on Monday. Sherfield spent the first three seasons of his NFL career witht he Arizona Cardinals and caught a combined 28 passes for 340 yards and one touchdown on 48 targets over 44 games (four starts) in the desert. He spent 2021 with the Niners and last year with Miami. Sherfield caught a career-high 30 passes (51 targets) for 417 yards and two touchdowns in 17 games (four starts) in 2022 for the Dolphins. The 27-year-old receiver will give the Bills more depth at the position behind Stefon Diggs and Gabe Davis after they parted ways with slot man Isaiah McKenzie this offseason.Source: ESPN - Adam Schefter
Cardinals Agree With Zach Pascal On Two-Year Deal
4 hours agoThe Arizona Cardinals agreed to terms with free-agent wide receiver Zach Pascal on an undisclosed two-year deal on Monday, according to sources. Pascal and new Cardinals head coach Jonathan Gannon were together with the Indianapolis Colts and Philadelphia Eagles, so Gannon knows that Pascal is a well-rounded receiver. The 28-year-old pass-catcher had a career-low 15 receptions on 19 targets for only 150 yards and one touchdown in 17 games (two starts) in his lone season with Philly in 2022. There's a good chance the Cardinals look to trade DeAndre Hopkins this offseason, but Arizona also has Marquise Brown, Rondale Moore and Greg Dortch at the position, so Pascal will be battling for playing time either way in 2023.Source: NFL Network - Mike Garofolo
C.J. Gardner-Johnson On The Move To Detroit
20 hours agoFree-agent safety C.J. Gardner-Johnson has agreed to a one-year, $8 million deal with the Lions. Philly has lost some big names already this offseason, as T.J. Edwards, Marcus Epps, Isaac Seumalo, Miles Sanders, and Javon Hargrave are now on new teams. With Detroit making some significant moves of late, Gardner-Johnson, who had 67 total tackles, eight passes defensed, six picks, and a sack last season, will help bolster a Lions defense that could be more productive in 2023-24.Source: ESPN
Broncos Unwilling To Deal Courtland Sutton, Jerry Jeudy
20 hours agoAccording to Mike Klis of 9News, the Broncos remain uninterested in dealing Courtland Sutton or Jerry Jeudy. We've heard this before. However, there have been several reports to the contrary in the last few months. Sutton's best season was in 2019, where he amassed 72 catches for 1,112 yards and six touchdowns while earning a trip to the Pro Bowl. He tore his ACL the following season and hasn't been the same since. Jeudy, who has been subject to trade rumors in the past, is entering the final year of his current agreement, although Denver could pick up his fifth-year option. The 23-year-old is coming off his most productive season, finishing the 2022-23 campaign with 67 receptions for 972 yards and six trips to the end zone. Nevertheless, there will probably be continuous updates on these two, so fantasy managers won't know for certain where they'll end up. Yet, if they stay in Denver, the addition of head coach Sean Payton will surely increase their fantasy stock.Source: Mike Klis
Travin Howard To Visit The Cowboys On Monday
20 hours agoAccording to Michael Gehlken of the Dallas Morning News, free-agent linebacker Travin Howard will visit with the Cowboys on Monday. The 26-year-old has spent his entire career with the Rams, totaling 44 tackles (35 solo). However, he's started only two of his 29 career games while appearing in just one game last season. With that said, Dallas is looking to beef up the depth chart while keeping a close eye on the cap. But even if Howard inks a deal with the Cowboys, it won't mean much from a fantasy standpoint.Source: Michael Gehlken
